There are somethings I find interesting that make my wife go  or even :dubious: . Actually the SDMB is one of them but we won’t go into that.
In September of 2003 I started going to Wheresgeorge . My wife thought I would be distracted for a little while but now my statistics are:
No chance of me quitting any time soon
Recently I’ve become obsessed with Findagrave . I don’t know why I liking looking at graves of famous people but I do. It may come from my travels around Europe visiting graveyards and crypts. Besides I never would have known that Grover Clevland was buried in Princeton NJ if it weren’t for that site.
Does this make me weird or is it my wife?
Note I linked to the sites because both are 100% free with a very small section with t-shirts etc that you don’t have to go near. This is not an endorsement blah blah blah -the legal department
Nah, I don’t think you’re weird. 'Course, I’ve been amused by those sites myself (not to the point of visiting them every day – that’s saved for here ;)), but I too have enjoyed a couple of less popular ones.
Like ones for auction oddities, top five/ten lists and misheard lyrics. I don’t think these are far out there, but mention them to let you know you’re not alone. Besides, why do you think a lot of people follow personals when they don’t actually use them? Because it’s interesting, fun and in some cases, feeds our voyerism or vicarious living of life through someone else.
Or, similar to folks who read the obituaries, perhas one is looking for validation that others have it worse than we do. At least, that’s why I watch depressing, dysfunctional and twisted movies. My existence looks like a cake walk in comparison.
So, before we get branded as freaks, let’s talk about your position on NDEs, whether or not the earth is flat and black helicopters. Oh yeah.
I’m currently obsessed with songmeanings.net , because I like to see what other people think of my favorite songs, and any number of running sites (which I visit pretty much every day.)
