Firstly, the picture in the first article has huge black squares all over it. There is nothing wrong with breastfeeding and there is no need to censor it.
And second, that kid might be a bit young for oreos. Just think of the mess he will make with it.
But I will agree that oreos require a nice big glass of ice cold milk.
Oreos are almost painfully sweet as it is. Milk isn’t especially sweet, so it tends to make the cookies less sweet. This, by the way, is true for most cookies, especially those that are very sweet.
I know …
I voted for milk, because I like oreos softened to the point of gooeyness. I even like to drink the sludge at the bottom of the glass. Lately, I’ve been doing cookies in coffee. Not just Oreos, tho.
Ha! I once took my little girl to the movies with me while she was old enough for cookies, but still young enough to nurse. I always sat in the back so that if she needed to be quieted I could discreetly breastfeed. I gave her an oatmeal cookie, but she still wanted to nurse. She had a great time alternating between bites of cookie and drinks of milk!
This. I prefer them with ice water or lemonade. Although milk is preferable to soda.
I would never dip them in the milk, though, merely drink the milk while eating the Oreo. Soggy foods make me gag and I can’t even tolerate cereal with milk, so why would I do that to an Oreo?
Did anyone notice the quote from the mom-blogger? "“The Oreo breastfeeding ad is pure*** awesomesauce***! It’s about time we get over any remaining breastfeeding squeamishness (ahem Mark Zuckerberg) and let the tata pride run wild.” I vote to censor her. Awesomesauce?
Oh so subjective. Oreos are great with milk, but the word “always” makes me say no. Breast milk, ice cold 2%, it doesn’t matter… Oreos aren’t ALWAYS best with milk. Sometimes, they’re best with ice cream, with no beverage at all, or with whatever I have already in my glass! So there.
