Does her mouth get larger and larger throughout the centuries? Will it eventually consume us all?
This is the first I’ve heard of it. I think she’s great and beautiful, but I haven’t see Les Mis (because I thought the musical was overrated and “great” because it proclaimed itself great). Loved her in that Get Smart movie, Batman, Devil Wears Prada, but that’s all lightweight.
Maybe she was out of her league in Les Mis (obviously speculation). Maybe it’s just her perfect good looks, but she looks to be missing a dark side, a soul…like the difference between a clarinet and an oboe, between lemonade and a martini, between the “House of Blues” and actual blues.
I found her annoying in the latest Between Two Ferns. Completely destroyed an otherwise funny bit. (She arrives around the 3:40 mark, fyi). JMHO.
@Onion - Because she’s a cunt.
Did you see the Christmas video she did with Samuel L. Jackson?
I don’t like her because she comes across like the over-eager, over-the-top, overly theatrical theater kids I knew in high school and college. (And I WAS a theater kid in high school.) She tries too hard. It’s annoying. I like my actors and actresses to be less… uh… theatrical. She bugs me. All of life is not a high school play.
I’m indifferent to her, though I think she is talented and as deserving of an Oscar as any other actress. But I can see how she’s perceived by some as a nattering phony. I can’t get worked up much, but have observed when any celebrity is in the spotlight, well, some adore and some despise them.
Oh, snap. Yeah, I don’t care about her – but I certainly don’t hate her. I don’t know why she’s apparently a big deal, but she’s just some actress to me.
That was her great-aunt Jane.
I like her just fine. As a matter of fact, she’s welcome at my house where I would be happy to massage her naked body…
I’ve noticed this lately because it seems to be everywhere, and I don’t get it either. The best I can surmise from all the catty comments I hear, is that people love a conspiracy theory. And if Anne was really duping people (like by being too rehearsed in her preciousness), then that makes them superior for having figured her out when everyone else is still drinking the Kool-Aid. < rolls eyes > Anyway, she doesn’t come across to me as anything but genuine, talented, funny, sweet and beautiful. I could definitely girl crush on her.
Because has anybody ever SEEN that bitch in the same room with Emmy Rossum? I’m pretty sure they’re the same person.
I don’t hate either, obv.
Never liked her. Just plain unattractive imo. Bug-eyed and a Joker mouth.
Also just really annoying.
I liked her in Love and Other Drugs, that she was naked quite a bit was just an added plus.
This.
I was so pissed when I heard she’d been cast in the Agent 99 role for Get Smart. Agent 99 is supposed to be hot!
Then she was cast as Catwoman… :smack:
Barbara Feldon and Julie Newmar were so much hotter.
I like her. Back when her previous boyfriend Raffaello something or other, was convicted for financial misdeeds, Anne could have dropped out of sight until the dust settled and waited for a new scandal to occupy public consciousness. Anne made jokes about her situation and gained my respect. To me, that shows class and grace under pressure. Besides, I like the work she did on Get Smart and The Devil wears Prada.
I think she’s a fine actress and over-all entertainer but she’s become almost too precious for words. Also, I think she’s grooming herself to take on the Audrey Hepburn mantle unless somebody stops her.
I’m annoyed by her because I feel like she’s being shoved down my throat at every turn. I find her unappealing. Ditto on both points for Emma Stone. It’s nothing against them, and I don’t hate them, but I wish they’d go away.
Jennifer Lawrence is also being shoved down my throat but I’m perfectly happy about that because she’s fucking hilarious.
CHIEF!!! This is PREPOSTEROUS! Someone get me Jethro on the line!
I had no problem with her until this awards season, because her campaign for the Oscar was so over-eager and all her acceptance speeches so precious and faux-modest that it really made me want to barf. And I realize that everyone campaigns for their awards, but she took it a step too far.
I think she’s a good actress, I just want her to go away for a while.
