So now that this question has been answered, what’s your opinion on the casting choice? I’m conflicted. Anne Hathaway, with her big brown eyes, may literally look like a cat, but she sure doesn’t strike me as type – too much “good girl.” But then, it can work out pretty spectacularly when they cast against type and the performer nails it – and I trust that Christopher Nolan can get her to play nasty. So, maybe Anne Hathaway can be a Good Girl Gone Bad (well, playing bad). And I say that’s a gift to all of male kind.
I do feel safe in predicting that this Catwoman won’t reach the heights of the Michelle Pfeiffer version, but Pfeiffer was stellar, IMHO, even worthy of an Oscar nomination.
Photo here. Not the most revealing, but that red lipstick looks all right, even from a distance.
There’s another photo out there that’s more revealing - although it’s apparently fake. I’m still kind of surprised by the casting choice, but I don’t know what they plan to do with the character and I’m more than willing to trust them until I can find out.
Here’s additional photos of catwoman on the bat-pod. Not much different than the one in the OP, just different angles. (you can see her body full length, though)
Hathaway doesn’t do that much for me, but Michelle Pfeiffer’s hotness factor in the role is probably untouchable anyway, and I trust Nolan to do something interesting with the character.
I was originally kind of non-plussed about hearing that Heath Ledger had been cast as the Joker, and now it’s all but impossible to to imagine anybody else.
