I have no problem with the casting, but instead with the idea - Catwoman just doesn’t translate well to the screen.
But perhaps this time will be different.
I don’t think those other photos will be Anne Hathaway. Riding the Batpod down stairs would be a stunt-person’s job.
That depends on how safe the rig is, how willing (and capable) the actor is of doing it himself, how close in the camera is supposed to be, and how close a body double the stunt-person is.* With tires that wide, and a top speed of 1 MPH down a scarcely declining set of stairs, they may have figured that she’s not going to tip over, and even if she did, she’s not going fast enough for it to matter. Otherwise, that’s a good looking stunt double.
- 80s flicks and low budget movies, tend to not care so much about making the stunt double actually look like the actor, hoping that quick cuts will hide it.
Huh. I think some of those might be better labeled “Anne Hathaway’s Stunt Double on the Bat Bike”.
A speech was given honoring Dent & giving the impression that he was dead. I always thought it could be either reinterpreted or presented as a official hoax in order to keep the public from knowing Dent was really an insane criminal kept in Arkham.
I’m not convinced by the photos posted so far. I’d need to see at least a few dozen more before I make a decision.
I think Hathaway is a lovely woman, but she’s got a goofy innocence about her that makes it difficult for me to see her as Cat Woman.
A lot of people thought that, but Chris Nolan came out and said, “Nope, Harvey’s dead.”

Agreed. I thought “fake Two-Face’s death” was the obvious play at the end of Dark Knight. And with Ledger not able to do any more movies (Nolan has said he would have played in a part in Dark Kngiht Rises if he had lived), it makes sense to keep him around.

Doesn’t look particularly feline. Looks like the generic gothic leather fetishist aesthetic of the last couple of Bat movies. I like Hathaway, but mostly for her comedic roles. Don’t know if I’d buy her in a serious action flick.
Then again, I was much less taken with the Batman reboot than most people appear to be.
