Do they ever re-air the Puerto Rica Flag episode of Seinfeld?

I know NBC pulled it, but is it in syndication? I saw it when it first aired, but I have not seen it since. I have been watching the syndicated episodes and haven’t caught this one on the rotation.

I watch Seinfeld in syndication faithfully and have never seen the episode when Kramer accidently burns the flag of Puerto Rico.

Yeah. It is a real shame too. Isn’t that the episode with George and the laser pointer?

Oddly enough, they repeat the Simpsons episode where Homer burns the British flag and throws compost on it.

Perhaps it’s true what they say: Latins are hot-blooded people, and Brits are spineless surrender-monkeys.

Oh wait, that’s the French.

I saw that episode a few weeks ago on the BBC over here in England. It’s towards the end of the very last season, I think.

Yes. Yes it is. He goes to see a film about the Hindenberg again to repeat his successful joke.

The British Puerto Rican lobby is pretty small I suppose.

you can find this episode using any P2P program.

cheers.

Wow, one I actually haven’t seen.

With the controversy over Vieques and the civilian killed in the training mission, I gather it isn’t a good idea to repeat the show?

It is still shown on the Sony channel we get on Sky TV here in Mexico.

Now THATS a band name.

A second episode has just been pulled from syndication. “The Invitations” (the episode where Susan, George’s fiancee, dies from licking cheap wedding invitation envelopes) has been dropped from syndication because of fears of anthrax in the mail. Hopefully it will be back in circulation eventually (“The Contest” was temporarily pulled after the death of JFK jr. but is back in rotation, so there is a precedent).

“Puerto Rican Day” has never aired again in the US since it’s original broadcast. It is at the very end of the last season, it was the last episode before the finale.

A shame, since it was an outstanding episode (although the Elaine storyline was a tad weak), and the complaints about it merely the pathetic mewlings of professional umbrage-takers. The return of the gay Puerto Rican tough-guy was great.

Fortunately, Pennypacker, I have it on tape (somewhere).

“It’s like this every day in Puerto Rico.”

Really? It’s still shown in Australia every now and then. Might have something to do with the total Puerto Rican-Australian population being approximately 16.

It seems to be the only episode they show in Australia that is from the last few seasons… normally it’s the early-mid seasons over, and over, and over, ad nauseum…

Remember the 2 parter where Kramer goes to L.A., Jerry and George go later to appear on the Tonight Show and retrieve him? This is complicated when Kramer is a possible murder suspect.

There is a part where Jerry phones the police and gives a description of Kramer. In the original I swear Jerry says “he looks Jewish”.

In reruns that line is snipped.

Also today I saw the “Cigar Store Indian” episode for the first time in ages. The ending made no sense…I’m thinking it was tweaked too, as most of the whole show was one ethnic joke after another.

And what happened to the Elaine “Is my boyfriend black or not” episode.

I’m thinking Seinfeld has beeen really scrubbed up for syndication.

The episodes may not necessarily be scrubbed for syndication, but they are cut. They edit out about one minute so they can show extra commercials.

“The Wizard” (the “is Elaine’s boyfriend black?” ep.) is still shown in syndication. AFAIK, the only episodes that are not are “Puerto Rican Day” and “The Invitation”.
