Do They Really Sell Chocolate Laxatives That Taste JUST Like A Candy Bar

Of course the joke you always see on TV shows is that, the guy eats some chocolate and it turns out to be chocolate laxatives.

I’ve not had exprience with laxatives as a whole, but the few times I’ve tasted a chocolate laxative, I would desribe it as chocolate flavoured, but nothing similar to a real chocolate bar.

So my question, do they sell bars of chocolate laxatives that could be passed off as candy? Could someone actually pass these chocolate laxatives off as real candy?

Seems to me they would allow it as gag gift type of item. I guess you could make it yourself, so that you used enough chocolate to cover the taste.

When I was a kid, I loved the little Ayds candies. Oh, wait, those were weight-loss, weren’t they?

What does it mean when a weight-loss candy is itself so habit-forming you overeat them?

Yes, though I don’t know if they do anymore. When I was a kid (30-some years ago), Ex-Lax not only tasted just like a chocolate bar, it looked just like one. Exactly like a tiny miniature Hershey bar, with little segments that you broke off.

Yes, I had a run-in (so to speak) with some of this as a very small child. :stuck_out_tongue:

You could get a sugar-free candy bar that is actually marketed as a candy bar, and most of the population would have a bad bathroom experience after eating the entire thing.

I had purchased some chocolate ex-lax for the first time about a year ago and to me it tasted just like a milk chocolate bar (and even looked like one as **winterhawk11 **recalls). It might have been a little less brittle, but if I did not know what I was eating I would just assume it was some sort of Cadbury concoction. Definitely a tasty treat.
