Do Upscale Retailers (Such as Bergners) Sell Christmas Trees?

I’m on a quest for a new Christmas tree. The trouble is, I’m having a difficult time finding what I want: 6 or 6.5’, pre-lit, LED multi-color. I’ve seen a few on the net, but they come with $45 shipping charges. Vague recollections from last year’s Christmas shopping at various big-box retailers leads me to believe that I’m not going to find what I’m looking for at a big-box store.

Is it possible that I might find what I want at a more upscale place such as Macy’s, Sak’s 5th Avenue, etc.?

Failing that, does anyone know of an all-Christmas, all-year-round retailer in the metro St. Louis area (I’m going to be there next weekend)?

I don’t know about year-round, but the type of tree you’re looking for is usually carried by Lowe’s around Christmas time. You want to go a bit lower end on the shopping. I’ve also seen these at Target, honestly. I know those are big-box stores by most definitions, but Lowes does, in season, carry a very good selection of artificial trees and other decorative stuff. We bought a pre-lit LED tree there last year; they had both all-white and multi-color.

Here you go.

You could also try craft stores like Hobby Lobby and Michael’s. They tend to put their Christmas tress out for sale earlier than other retailers.

As it happens, tygre (aka my wife) used to work at Bergners, probably the location you’re thinking of too, when she lived in Spffld. Here’s what she said when I asked her about this:

To answer this - you might want to try Forshaws . I drive by them every day on my way to work. According to their website, they carry Christmas items year round…though I haven’t noticed that driving by. After Halloween or so, that’s a great majority of their business. I’d classify them as mid-high-end.

They are on Lindbergh in the Frontenac area and easy to find. They’re close to the current construction/rebuild project for Highway 64, but that shouldn’t be too much of a problem.
