As far as wondering why Hollywood keeps producing unnecessary sequels, that question was answered way back in 1919 with the release of Back to God’s Country in response to the unexpected popularity of God’s Country and the Woman in 1916. Look it up if you like.
I swear, these whippersnappers have no sense of history.
**Gladiator 2: I know what you fought last summer **
Or, since we have had Spartacus, then Gladiator, there is really only one epic that hasn’t made it to the big screen.
**TROJAN MAN ** : Quick About Their Work
Am I the only one who will watch Gladiator 2, but only if we get Maximus’ (only Russell Crowe) postering, glowering and sweatiness? I am just a slave to the whims of Hollywoods mechinations. ::::sigh:::::

Scylla, you are wasting your talents as a (insert job here) you should be working in Hollywood. Hell, all of us should…
Instead of a Sequel, I wish they would do the Prequel - called Maximus. The back story of Gladiator, how he became a General, his relationships with Marcus Arelius, Comedus, Lucilla.
With Russell Crowe, that would be good.
He has said he wouldn’t be in a Sequel, he’s like I’m dead, there’s no way.
But, the Hollywood Machine and Powers that be will probably F it up.
That’s nothing compared to what they did to Land Before Time the first one was good, after that they dropped off, and there at least 10 Land Before Times.
Sometimes you wish they’d let a good thing rest in piece.
