This has been an urban legend for as long as i can remember. Is this true?
I don’t know, but after googling it’s definitely a pretty widespread idea that I’d somehow missed.
In my country, its more common that women ride horses than men. Was wondering if this could be one of the reasons
Some women can orgasm just by thinking about it.
Is it not the same for men?
Not horses, no. But anyways, this OP is about the physical action of riding a saddle (horse). Nothing fantasising involved.
Maybe we could get some input from female riders?
No. Absolutely not.
I’m 60 + and have ridden all my life. Riding is an intense physical joy, but not THAT kind of joy. That’s a fairly misogynistic male fantasy that I wish would go away.
That’s not to say that there aren’t women who could make it happen, the brain is pretty powerful and orgasm is as much mental as physical. But it’s utter bullshit to say that so many women ride because it turns them on. In the first place, it’s mostly little girls who get the horse crazy bug, WELL before any sexual development. A lot of those little girls give up horses and riding in favor of boys too, when they hit that phase of life.
Just stop, please.
Sorry to disappoint you, but no.
Yes, but i don’t think riding a horse usually triggers those thoughts. And anyway, that’s not what the OP means, i think.
So, as a woman who has ridden horses, i can say, “no, there’s nothing about the physical act of riding that does that”. And if you think about it, the penis is even closer to the saddle. If women could get off by riding horses, so could men, to an even greater extent.
Does someone? Probably. There are a lot of people. But no, that’s just an urban legend.
AH!
There are certain men that view us as an attractive but strange and different life form. I’m afraid that some of them would secretly like to dart, tag, and release us into the wild so as to better study our habits. LOL
It may not be an all out orgasm (though I’m sure it can and does happen), but just a stimulating sensation can be pleasant enough. My sister when very young used to ‘roll’ on a rolled up magazine and said it made her feel good down there. Being young myself I didn’t understand it and I tried myself (male) - and … nothing. But looking back I’m pretty sure it was stimulating to her. So there may be some good vibes even in the background of all the other actions happening that though hidden may influence behavior.
Back to my personal life experience, I was in the back of a jeep on a very bumpy trail, in the way back where the bumps were the greatest and almost came. If we didn’t stop when we did I don’t know how I wouldn’t have lost it. I was about to ask to pull over to take a piss to prevent that, but our destination arrived before I did. So I can see how non-sexual things can cause an organism and have ridden a horse, so for some - most likely yes, for most most likely not.
In my experience during riding in proper attire and undergarments the penis is normally up above the sack and the balls are taking a pounding while shielding the penis. Ball pain sensitivity sort of has one try not to get the sack too close to the action and sack sexual stimulation is just not a thing as far as I experience.
That’s much narrower than any part of a saddle.
I’m sticking with, “a saddle stimulates the penis more directly than it stimulates the clitoris.”
yes but for clarification it was used across the body, not along it
Okay. I sit corrected.
There’s really no clitoral stimulation at all from riding a horse, in my experience. And I’ve ridden bareback, English, and Western saddles.
Well, that depends on how you’re sitting on the saddle.
Sorry. The answer is no. Just no.
I’m a guy, and no. I’ve had a horse do an unplanned jump over a creek (instead of calmly walking across) and it hurt.
I used to ride a good deal in my teens, and occasionally after that for a while.
Never happened to me.
I was horny enough during that time that I most certainly would have consciously noticed if riding horseback, either with or without saddle, was sexually stimulating. Not to get too TMI here, but I noticed it in other supposedly non-sexual contexts. Not while riding.
It has always seemed odd to me that in some societies men were supposed to ride astride and the women sidesaddle. The anatomy seems to me to indicate the reverse.
(Although a skilled rider with a good sidesaddle can ride comfortably, control a horse well, and not be in significant danger of falling – it’s a whole lot more practical to ride astride; especially if sidesaddles aren’t available, but even if they are. I’m not wondering why men ride astride; I’m just noting that claims for making women ride sidesaddle that rest on anatomy make no sense.)
Short answer: No. More complete answer: Oh, hell, NO. You’re way too busy with all the mental and physical (conscious and unconscious) demands of riding a horse to be stimulated that way.
Oh lord. Will it ever stop?
As you might have guessed, that has already been done. Kinda.
