Do women have to "Turn and cough?"

I had an abnormal pap smear once. Now for the record IANAD. My OB/GYN(NP) froze the abnormal area. At the end she did ask me to turn and cough. I forgot what the reason she gave for asking me to do this cause I got the giggles and she had to wait for me to quit and actually smiled when I told her how I visualized this request.

That sounds cool. I’ll bet it would make a really great night light! Just imagine, you’d be able to get up & go to the bathroom & see where you were walking the whole way.

My apologies, Tenebras, I just had to make that one last little OT comment.

Wow. I guess I can thank the student health center for the fact of my never having been put through the ordeal of a “bimanual” exam. I think I’ll just try to avoid that for as long as possible, yesindeed… I’m still having trouble visualising how a rectal exam helpes one check the status of uterine walls, but that’s okay… I’ll just stop thinking about it now

You really don’t feel much when you get rectal-type exams, a little pressure, thats about it. Surprise.
