Do you believe in demons and is pornography sinful?

Ove the years I have been a big fan of pornography. Honestly I was a porn fiend. I would watch it whenever I could. I don’t want to get graphic, but did engage in self stimulation and purchase a number of adult toys. A few years ago I would have recurring dreams where I was having sex with an attractive buxom black woman. At some point these dreams increased and became more detailed and immersive. I started seeing this woman when I was wide awake. She would would show up at different times and hang out with me. The interesting thing is two other people who I never told abut this woman briefly saw her. Once at work and once on the bus she manifested for a short period of time. This woman eventually told her name was Jazibiyya.
After a few months while laying in the bed together she got up said she was tired of being nice to me and that she was a demon. Jazibiyya revealed her true form of a demonic being with burnt skin as if she had been in a furnace. Horns on both sides of her head and giant white pupils with beady little red eyes. This demonic being and others started harassing me day and night. One of the demonic beings even said they were not going any where as they had legal rights due to me watching pornography’s and self stimulation.

So I have two questions for posted here. Do you believe in demons? Also have you had any similar issues from consuming pornography or engaging in any act that would be considered sinful or immoral?

No x 2.

No x 2. Plus there’s no such thing as “sin” to begin with.

Moderating: As there doesn’t appear to be a debate framed, but just two questions. Off to In My Humble Opinion with this thread.

See a shrink, dude.

Moderating: @Chefguy, and this is not the pit, so please don’t attack the OP.

I was trying to be helpful, but sure.

Without attacking you, how do you distinguish between these events actually occurring, and these events being part of some sort of hallucinatory pattern? Have you had encounters with mental health professionals before, and would you consider speaking to one about these experiences?

To answer your questions: I’ve seen no persuasive evidence that demons exist, but I have seen persuasive evidence that people can hallucinate imaginary things. I do not believe pornography is sinful, as long as those involved in its production aren’t being abused, and everyone involved in its consumption give full consent.

Yes, Im a christian and believe there are demons. Never seen one.
I have never been interested in porn.

I’m going to second @Left_Hand_of_Dorkness. I know of a number of cases where a person hallucinated something that wasn’t there. Sometimes it’s harmless, sometimes it’s constructive, and sometimes it’s destructive.

I am dubious of the existence of demons, but note that use of pornography is extremely common, and reports of being followed by demons as a result of the use of pornography are very uncommon. And i don’t think this is just reporting bias, as people are somewhat shy about reporting either of these.

Also, if demons are real, i believe they are expected to lie. Or possibly, to say things that are technically true but highly misleading. I think the odds that you are being plagued by a demon due to using pornography are about zero.

As an aside, while I’m not faithful, I was confirmed Presbyterian. And the main story of Jesus talking about sex was the “He who is without sin” story–defending the sex worker against judgy people. Dude didn’t really think much about sexual sins compared to everything else.

Much of modern Christianity seems to me to be a sex cult, obsessed with how people get off, caring very little about Jesus’s message. If there’s a demon haunting you because of sex, it’s probably nothing to do with Jesus, but is an offshoot of whatever mainstream modern Christianity has become.

I don’t feel this was an attack on the OP but was intended as sincere advice.

And I would offer the same advice to the OP. If you are seeing demons, you need to consider the possibility that you are experiencing hallucinations. You should go to see a doctor.

Demons gotta be real. A famous gynecologist says women’s ailments come from consorting with demons in their dreams.

Not sure what her take is on the pornography angle, but if it involves alien DNA, it’s a good bet she’s against it.

Cool story Bro.

Demons? No, never seen any evidence for them or any other supernatural entities.

Pornography sinful? No. Since I don’t think morality is based on any religious foundation, no. You’re not harming anyone by consuming pornography.

I do think there is something that could reasonably be called ‘evil’: harming another person against their will.

Alien porn tends to be mostly oral.

I do not personally believe in demons and have never experienced anything similar.

Do you still experience demon interactions? Or any other similar experiences? Are they, or any compulsions (porn or otherwise) in any way currently interfering with your life otherwise? Do they ever encourage you to do anything that might not be a great idea? Including but not restricted to harming yourself or others? If you do still have these experiences would you prefer they stopped?

Just a reminder that this is in IMHO. If you think there’s a problem with the OP, report it.

Nah, don’t believe in demons, never seen any evidence for them.
Nah, don’t believe in sin, either.

I found out that even eye floaters can be turned into evil monsters (evil bugs in my case), this took place when I had some cases of sleep paralysis.

Now, how I found out that they were not completely imaginary?

I do think that it is not so simple a matter of declaring things in dreams as demons. Some real issues can intervene and the brain is just bullshitting you like when AI large language models make up things because the brain tries to make sense of things by any means necessary at its disposal.

So I did have the usual, some days I open my eyes early and did see on the wall or roof of my room, a bug crawling. A bug that then increased in size and began to threaten me, I usually did wake up with sweats and a sore throat, caused by my screaming,

After a few rounds of that, I began to pay attention to how it usually started: the “bugs” began appearing as fuzzy spots or fuzzy lines that grew into monster creepy crawling bugs.

I looked for an explanation and remembered that a few floaters in my eyes looked like how the bugs started appearing, so I did made an effort to see if the bugs moved when I did move my eyes. They did.

One day I managed to remember my knowledge and do my plan, and sure enough, the bugs followed were I moved my eyes.

Before that, I had some lucid dreams with more control of the scenes, and I thought then: "Your ass is mine now, you Darth Maul Bugs!

And as an effective shortcut, I applied a Star Wars “Force” style maneuver. Because the bugs followed my eye moves, as the source was the eye floaters, the dream adjusted to make the bugs to be thrashed around mercilessly with the tables, walls, and other items, so much so that while I did enjoy it, I was beginning to feel a little bit sorry for those critters.

Not so much.. because when I figured that out, I began to look forward to those times early in the mornings! But of course. Your brain is an asshole… It began to stop doing those paralysis/dreams!

I have the theory that sometimes the brain enjoys giving your fears and concerns too much power in your dreams, and resents when you figure out a way to deal with the fears that it tosses at you.

So, no actual demons, as for Porn, I don’t think it is a sin, as others said, it is OK when there is consent among the ones making it. Of course, the miracle here is that happily, my wife likes it too…
