A girl without freckles is like a night without stars.
OK, I never have actually used that line, but freckles can be very cute on some women. In the first Iron man when they show Pepper Potts waiting for Tony Stark to get off the plane, Gweneth looked very cute with that sprinkling of freckles across her nose.
My email address reflects my Irish ancestory. I used to have thick, reddish brown hair (at my age now I’m lucky to have any hair at all.) I have green eyes and freckles.
When I was in elementary school (we called it grammar school. (Hey kids! Come play on my lawn!) my very first boyfriend had red hair and freckles. Every afternoon when the bell rang he was outside the door of my room, waiting to take my books from me for our walk home. Back then nearly everybody walked. We lived across the street from each other. He did other “chivalrious” things, too. (that’s what I thought of it as, at age 9 or 10.)
What a lucky person I am to have had such a sweet boy as my first "love.’
So yes, I like freckles.
If you remember your Brady Bunch correctly, Jan hated her freckles and blamed them for her lack of popularity with Clark Tyson. But then it seem that Jan overheard Peter and Greg talking and Peter says, that Clark likes freckles, and Jan looks in the mirror about to cry and says, “There goes your last excuse, it’s not the freckles, it’s just you.” (you, referring to her own reflection in the mirror)
Of course we later find out it wasn’t Jan but the fact she dressed too butch for Clark.
I don’t like excessive freckles on anyone. Other than that, I don’t care.
Though I’m a redhead, I do not have excessive freckles. I do have them though and they don’t bother me.
I don’t really have a preference for freckles, for the same reason that I don’t really have a preference for ginger guys. I think freckles are cute, and they make a girl look cute. They make a guy look cute, and I’m not looking for cute when I’m looking at guys. If I liked a guy, being ginger with freckles would not cause me to like him less. It would just cause me to rank him lower on attractiveness than the dark-haired non-freckly guys he was standing next to. Not having freckles would motivate me to rank a guy higher in terms of my preference and relative attractiveness-rankings. But I wouldn’t recommend going out and lasering them off, or anything. I’d still date a guy with freckles, I just wouldn’t look at him first.
This post is only in regard to facial freckles. Freckles don’t affect my preferences *at all *on any other part of the body. In fact, a mole or freckle smattering on the arms or tummy (from a suntan) is cute, but in a good way.
I don’t know why. I’m not defensive, what are you talking about?? Stop asking so many questions!
