Sugary, carbonated, non-alcoholic beverages. Do you partake?
How much? And how old are you?
Age will not be represented in the poll.

I usually drink seltzer, but I do occasionally have a diet Dr. Pepper.
I’m 67.
No, I drink pop.
I’m 41. I used to drink almost nothing else.
But nowadays, I buy a 20 oz. soda on Monday at lunch. I take 2 sips out of it and stick it in the work fridge. I’ll drink that one soda for about 2 weeks, sometimes longer.
I was going to say “occasionally” but you specified “sugary” in your definition. I never drink non-diet sodas. I occasionally drink diet Pepsi or diet Coke. I’d guess once a month or so. (I’m one of the rare folks that doesn’t have a preference between the two).
I drink it every day.
If this poll were 10 years ago my answer would have been “almost nothing else”, but I’ve cut my intake a lot. I have a mini can of Dr. Pepper every day in the morning and I usually have one later in the day. If I’m going out to lunch or dinner it’s more, if I’m forcing myself to drink water (ugh) it’s less. I’d definitely say I drink more than the average bear though.
I’m 33 btw
I used to, but discovered it was the source of my bad abdominal pains. Gave it up about twenty years ago and haven’t had a case of the bends since.
I’m 63.
(However, I can drink sparkling mineral water. It doesn’t bother me a bit. Go figure.)
I used to drink it daily but gave it up recently. I will however still drink it under certain situations, if I’m at a movie I have one with my popcorn, and if I get fast food I might have one then as well.
Same. I realized when I was in college that carbonation messed with my stomach, so I gave it up. It’s been 35 years for me.
Not the stuff with sugar in it. I don’t like drinking corn syrup. I drink diet Coke a lot.
Drank it a lot as a kid to early adulthood, then tapered off.
Haven’t drank soda in years. I might have had one 3 or 4 years ago but that was probably the only one I’ve had the last 10 years or so. Too sugary, too syrupy, too cloying. I’ve always found “diet” soda nasty beyond compare. They say one develops a taste for it, but I chose not to stick it out.
If any at all it’s to get my blood glucose level back up. The last one I had was at the clinic. Doesn’t foster a genuine love for the stuff if it forced down through nausea and dizziness.
I still drink it at age 46 but it’s once or twice a week. I’ve mainly gone to buying cases of the zero calorie Costco “vitamin water” knock-off for my flavored drink consumption but I’ll still get a Coke with a fast food burger or at a restaurant.
Mid 40s
None. Beer or water is all I drink anymore.
Yes, multiple times per day, every day. Though Diet sodas only - once in a blue moon I’ll have one with sugar (Jarritos or Mexican Coke usually). I’m 39.
Not with my high blood sugar, no…
I voted the second choice before reading. I don’t drink sugary sodas, only diet sodas if that matters to you.
Are you counting diet soda or not?
Yes, I’ll usually drink one per day on weekdays. I usually bring a can from home to have with my lunch at work. On weekends maybe two. Honestly I’m addicted to the caffeine. It’s always diet sodas, though. I might drink the kind with sugar occasionally during the year, typically while on vacation. I am 39.
I drink 3 or 4 a week. I see them as essentially dessert, so I pour a cold 12 oz. can of Coca Cola, root beer, or ginger ale in a frozen mug and savor it after dinner.
I have no use at all for diet soda. Plain water tastes better, and I drink that most of the time anyway.
