Do you ever think it's not worth casting you pearls before swine?

Well, I have initiated fourteen threads.

Do you get all those lofty ideas because of the blood rushing to your brain from having your head up your ass?

Was that a stupid question?

Oooh! What’s that shiny thing…

Save your pearls. Some day you may need them.

Tschoh! What is the first rule about the secret forum?

:smack:

Never mind. Some people are just not blessed with the spirit of enquiry, the thirst for knowledge and understanding.

Either that, or you’re just a dick :stuck_out_tongue:

No personal insults in MPSIMS, zoid. If you want to deride another poster, please do so in the Pit.

Perhaps I should have said that 14 threads initiated out of more than 17,000 posts made indiactes that tomndeb doesn’t show great initiative.

mmmm? You asked whether anyone had ever thought of initiating a thread, then reconsidered on the grounds that their brilliance would be missed by the rest of the readership. I simply pointed out that while I have contributed erudition and wit to threads that needed elevation on 16,990 occasions I have only chosen to initiate fourteen threads of my own.

Now, what is your ratio?

Actually, Carl…and Homer said that to Lenny.

Such immodesty does not become you, Thomas!

As Churchill said, I only trust the statistics I make up myself.

Modesty is a function of social mores. I prefer to concentrate on humility–the accurate assessment of one’s worth that neither overvalues (arrogance) nor undervalues (false modesty) a person.

Actually, sometimes I go to post, and as I’m composing the post, I realize that folks here aren’t going to get what I’m trying to say. Then I realize it’s more my ability to articulate my thoughts than it it is someone else’s ability to understand those thoughts which prevents the desired communication from occurring. But that’s just me.

You’re right - I meant it jokingly but it was still out of line.

I apologize.
