Son just turned 4, so it’s up to me or else she goes without a gift.
My kids are 11 and 13. I need to remind them when Mother’s day is, but they sort out the card / gift. I don’t get her anything and never had because that’s pretty creepy IMO. Thankfully she feels the same. In fact, now that I think about it, we aren’t big on gift-giving at all. Our kids get a gift or two on their birthday and a couple on Christmas, but not much else and my wife and I usually don’t give each other gifts for birthdays or Valentine’s Day.
Another vote for yep, because it’s not “Just My Mother’s/Father’s Day” - it’s Mother’s/Father’s Day, and we consider it a celebration of those roles in general. I may even pick up something for my daughter, because she is a wonderful mother to my grandkids.
Honestly, it never occurred to me that wishing someone other than MY parent a Happy Mother’s/Father’s day is considered creepy. That’s kind of sad.
This is me, too, but it’s sons…
Cheers. Was a very emotional end to the game! /hijack
