Do you have any Duluth Trading clothes?

I don’t have anything myself (although I have been eyeing some of their Firehose shorts and pants for some years now, but haven’t pulled the trigger yet).

My dad does have some of their suspenders and loves them. Apparently they’re quite awesome as suspenders go- Dad’s become quite the connoisseur now that his Parkinson’s and girth make belts a difficult thing.

They have a cell phone belt pouch I like.

I’m gradually switching to all Duluth boxers. They are the best underwear I’ve ever worn. After 4 years my original two pair still look and feel like new aside from a rough patch where my wallet presses.

I’ve got jeans, khakis, and firehose pants. First two are amazingly comfortable but since I’m not doing as much manual labor as when I was younger the firehose haven’t broken in yet.

Tshirts are the same as boxers. Recently got them on sale for 12 bucks each and stocked up.

The belt is new but all signs point it lasting for years. Thick well tanned leather with super strong riveting.

Duluth Trading, count me a fan!

Well, I took the plunge. I ordered the grab jacket that simster recommended and a pair of boxer briefs to get the order to $102. Then I used Johnny L.A.'s coupon for $30 off so it was like getting the briefs for free. I’ve needed a good jacket for a long time so this seems like a good deal to me.

Thanks Dopers. I’ll bumpdate this thread once they get here.

I also recommend this jacket, but “generously sized” is accurate. I originally bought a large and it was apparently sized appropriately for Garrison Keillor’s Norwegian bachelor farmer types. I normally am on the border of “medium” and “large”, but this fit me like a tent. Waited 11 months until the jacket was back in stock and replaced it with a medium which I quite like.

They have fantastic customer service. I used to buy their shirts for my dad, who loved them. I have one pair of shorts from them from when I used to volunteer at the zoo doing heavy labor and they’re perfect and have perfect pockets.

One of the great things about DT pants is that they are all tailored with a crotch gusset for ball room. As their ads say, “No more “Ouch” when you crouch.”

Good stuff, fun catalog. Wish they still have the merino wool briefs/boxers, however.

Best boxers, guys are the Wicker’s wool blend- they wick like crazy, are comfortable and wear well.

Wool blend boxers? At first blush, that sounds… itchy.

Not if made from Merino wool. Very soft.

The wife ordered me an early Christmas present or three from DT and it just arrived. 2 pairs of suspenders, beard oil, stainless steel comb for beard, and a pair of the “heavy-duty” sweatpants. Sweet!

This is kind of random, but over the Thanksgiving dinner table, the topic of Duluth Trading Company somehow came up. My DIL’s brother, who is career Navy, piped up and said their underwear is very popular with sailors.

Sea men tested and Navy approved

My order arrived yesterday. My first impressions are generally favorable.

The boxer-briefs are comfortable. There’s definitely more room in the crotch area. My wife thought that they felt scratchy to the touch. They don’t to me. With the 30% off, they were about $15. That’s still quite a bit more than I’d normally pay but they do seem well made.

The coat is WARM!. Much warmer than I’d expect given it’s weight and thickness. I went for a 4 mile walk this morning at 5:00 and it was around 25 degrees (F). There wasn’t any wind and I was warm to the point of sweating.

My only complaint is that the color of the jacket looks much more washed out than it did on the website. In the end it won’t make much difference because I have extremely hard water and all of my clothes fade in short order. The sizes do run large as Finagle mentioned. I typically wear an XXL shirt but I ordered the XL jacket and there’s plenty of room in it. I also have fairly long arms and sleeve length is usually an issue but these are just fine.

Overall, I’m happy with my purchase, especially since they were 30% off. IMHO, their normal retail prices are just too high.

Thanks to everyone that responded.

Just about everything I wear these days, apart from my dress shirts and ties, comes from Duluth, from shirts and pants to socks and underwear. I’ll add the following to what’s been said previously:

The “lifetime belt” is expensive but seriously worth it. It’s thick and heavy, and has far outlasted any store-bought belt I’ve bought before. They might be half the price, but they break or wear out five times faster.

For underwear, I’m a boxer-brief guy, and the “buck naked performance” underwear is scratchy to the touch, as your wife says, but feels great when worn. However, if you want something much softer to the touch, give the “free range cotton” boxer-briefs a try. They also tend to run a couple dollars less than the “buck naked” range.

A good while back I got some “base layer” stuff in the “buck naked” line. Long underwear, basically, for the times I was going to spend a lot of time outdoors in the cold. It seemed thin, but it held the warmth in well, and was quite comfortable. If you need anything like that, it’s worth considering.

Last Christmas, I got my dad a pair of the pigsuede “wild boar” mocs, because I had a pair and they had become my favorite slip-on shoes. My mother told me later in January, “I don’t think he’s taken them off.” They are super-comfortable, although I heeded the warning of one reviewer and ordered “wide” for a better fit. This Christmas, my mom said I should get him another pair in a different color so he can at least alternate them.

I bought two pair of suspenders a couple of years ago…They are great. The button on pair are a bit tough on buttons but they sent me a pair of buttons to replace the originals that were better than the ones I had been using and the snap-on pair which with other brands would last maybe three to five months (or probably less) with other brands are still going strong.

While wearing all this Duluth clothing, do you get the urge to draw things instead of using a more practical photo?

I don’t understand their marketing. Show me what your item really looks like please.

Yeah, their regular prices are too high. So I wait for the coupons. I do like their Buck Naked boxers. Did you get the Ball Room?

Speaking of coupons, I just ordered 16 pounds of Community Coffee (8 pounds Dark Roast, and 8 pounds French Roast). With 20% off and free shipping, it comes to $6/pound. Great coffee, and I don’t have to go out to get it. We go through about 1 pound to 2 pounds per week.

My husband fell for the underwear ad and bought some even though they were more expensive than he would have liked to spend. He hated them.

Not that I can tell. When I search their website for “Ball Room”, it only returns denim pants and shorts.
