Do you know RL people who resemble very much a character from a book/movie ?

Sometimes real life is just as strange or wonderful, if not more strange, then stories in books or movies. This thread is for collecting such examples. There are of course many famous examples, (Prince Bernhard-James Bond or Elizabeth Bathory- Dracula) but here I would like to collect lesser known people, preferrably people you have known yourself in real life. Pics are much appreciated.

For instance, about a 30 minute drive from my house stands a tower on a hill, the Tower of Eben Emael, that is the spitting image of the house of Mr Lovegood, Luna’s father as described in the Deathly Hallows from Harry Potter. The guy who built it in the sixties is also a real life mr Lovegood.

So, do you know a real life captain Ahab? An modern Miss Havisham? Let’s hear it!

I’m pretty sure I’ve modeled much of myself on Peter Falk, as Columbo. I’m pretty rumpled.

And I often come back to a conversation I’ve just finished with a ‘just one more thing’. I just wish I had his hair.

I knew a Comic Book Guy who looked exactly like the Simpsons CBG.
ETA: Yes, he worked in a Comic Book Store.

After reading Lovecraft’s story about Herbert West (the Reanimator), I realized that the physical description of Herbert matches one of my friends almost to a ‘T’. He’s morbidly proud of that fact.

One of my friends reminds me a lot of Christina from Grey’s Anatomy . . . particularly her whole “I’m much too tough to have feelings (but I secretly do)” thing.

No pix, but the pastor at my Mom’s church was practically a twin of the guy who played Ned Ryerson in Groundhog Day. There he was showing up every couple of days to earnestly try andconsole us during Mom’s terminal illness, and it was all I could do to keep from blurting out “Ned Ryerson!” and collapsing in giggles. I’m a bad, bad person.

A guy I went to school with looks just like Simon Bar Sinister’s henchman Cad. I’ve seen quite a few people who reminded me of the Instant Martian.

My husband and I suspect the people who made *Napolean Dynamite *must have met my husband’s brother at some point and been inspired to make the movie. The hair, the glasses, the manner of speaking, the way he dresses…all a perfect match. It’s almost creepy.

Yes, my BIL is a total dork. But he’s a good guy…just a little, um, special.

We had a new female agent working in our office, and one day whle I was at the front desk I wondered why Mike Tyson was coming into the office holding flowers. Turns out it was her boyfriend and not Tyson, but the resemblence was uncanny, right down to the gold teeth.

Later he beat her hard enough to cause a miscarriage and put her in the hospital. He was like Tyson in looks and behavior.

My husband swears I’m just like House, in that I’m not very good at relating to people (on a continued basis. I’m ok for a couple of hours.) and that I’m sort of intolerant of those niceties and platitudes that people espouse in the spirit of getting along. I’m also an atheist and intolerant of the stupid illogical shit people believe (alternative medicine, anti-vax, mega attachment parenting), and generally don’t have a problem saying so. I have one good friend I get along with very well who’s a sweet and empathic person, where I’m a bit harder.

I disagree. I am in no way that mean or reckless.

EDIT: On re-reading the OP, this probably isn’t exactly what you are looking for, but I don’t have anything better to contribute, so I’ll leave it.

I ran into a friend of mine – a person who worked in my field in another department – at a showing of Jurassic Park (obviously a few years ago). On the way out, I mentioned that the character of Nedry reminded me of someone. Without missing a beat, my friend supplied the correct name I was thinking of, a person working in yet another department who resembled the character to a T in both looks and personality (or lack thereof).

In high school, I had a crush on a girl who was a brunette (and less-annoying) version of Diane Chambers on Cheers.

My old English professor and good friend was a dead ringer for Ned Flanders (though no “diddly”-gibberish).

I have an aunt that looks Exactly" like Zelda Rubinstein from poltergeist, even the height. When my son first met her he freaked out, (he was 10).

My hubby got our middle daughter (age 18) interested in The West Wing; after seeing the character of Toby in several episodes, she came to me and said “When did Dad turn in to a short, bald-headed Jewish guy?”

My husband is so much like that character it’s almost creepy!

Dunno if this counts, but my dad looks and acts almost EXACTLY like the dad from Calvin and Hobbes. 'Cept my dad’s a physicist, not a patent lawyer.

I have two cousins who are Rod and Todd Flanders- including the swearing, strong bible stance, and general very intelligent kids. They have the hair to boot. I can never remember their real names as we have always called them Rod and Todd when they are not around.

My sisters and I (all in our 20s at this point) took turns reading the same copy of the 5th Harry Potter book when it came out. After we’d all finished, Sister 1 said she’d really disliked the Luna Lovegood character, because “She’s so unrealistic!”

Sister 2 and I looked at each other, looked at Sister 1, and then said at the same time “SHE’S EXACTLY LIKE YOU!”

It’s true. Imagine an older Luna Lovegood with anger management issues, and you’ve got Sister 1. And although my sister doesn’t look much like the actress who played Luna in the movies, aside from her hair color she matches the physical description of Luna in the book pretty well.

Dwight (Rainn Wilson) from The Office is obviously based on one of my co-workers. It’s uncanny.
