Do you like to drink *non-flavored) water?

I’m talking about regular, mostly tasteless water, not flavored like Propel or Clearly Canadian or VitaminWater.

I don’t. I’ll usually drink Gatorade or Powerade or Juice to get hydrated. I can’t really stand drinking just water alone, though, because it’s just so flavorless. Sure it’s quenching but I need something that has taste to it. :frowning:

I hate “energy drinks”. They’re just nasty to me. Plain water every time, please.

“Love” is a bit strong, but I like it.

I love it. I drink two things: coffee and water. I will drink other stuff on occasion, but usually not.

I used to drink three things, but after I got old I discovered that beer makes me fat. :frowning:

I drink Arizona peach tea almost exclusively, but occasionally I like a Strawberry-Melon Fuse or a Coke Zero. Sometimes when I go out to eat I like ice water when they serve it with the small ice cubes. I have no idea why. It just seems so much more refreshing that way.

I drink water almost all the time. I do enjoy it, and a nice refreshing glass of water is great. I was more into soda in the past. Now I drink ginger ale (or ginger cola as I call it) but sparingly. Maybe a can every couple of weeks. I guess I don’t really want something with a taste when I’m drinking. I like to clear my palate with something without a flavor. Plus, I’d hate to get dependent on things that aren’t water. I’d be worried about getting dehydrated or something. Not drinking water most of the time would feel wrong.

I generally carry a bottle of water when I’m on the go, but I opt for flavored beverages when I’m at home. It’s kind of counter-intuitive, come to think of it.

It’s my preferred beverage, although ‘love’ is a little strong. Very, very occasionally, I’ll want a drink that tastes like something, in which case I prefer natural things (fruit juices, homemade lemonade, etc.) to sodas and sports drinks.

Living here in the desert, you get used to drinking water, because you pretty much have to. A lot of times when I think I’m craving soda or other bad-for-me stuff, it’s just that I’m really super-thirsty, and if I drink a lot of water, those cravings go away. My 11 year-old hasn’t learned that yet, but he is really going to have to start drinking water. I love water now.

I drink plain water most of the time. It tastes fine and has no calories.

I’ve been trying to drink more water than soda lately, and I’m making some headway. I stopped buying cans of soda and I just have water and Costco’s brand of vitamin-enriched flavored water product when I need something with taste. I still drink soda when I go out, but I’m slowly learning to just appreciate water for water’s sake, rather than as a necessary dullness.

Mints plus soda taste terrible anyway.

I love water. I can guzzle lots of it down without feeling guilty, and at work I can refill my water bottle from the filtered water spout for free - and I do so even now we can get bottled water for free. I also like soda, and ice tea, but not GatorAde and the like - perhaps because I had to gulp down a gallon of the stuff before a colonoscopy.

I drink three or four glasses at restaurants also, even if I have also ordered a drink.

No kidney stones for me!

Like another poster above, my go-to non-alcoholic drinks are coffee and water. If I want something carbonated, I’ll typically get club soda.

In the summer, I’ll make a pitcher of cucumber-lemon-and-mint water. I’ll add a little bit of sugar to my coffee (and I do love a good Cuba Libre), but I couldn’t imagine a sugary drink doing anything to slake my thirst.

My mum buys way too much Perrier water. I drink lots of that. In addition, I like plain old refrigerated tap water.

I used to drink 2-3 cans of pop a day before I started dieting. Getting rid of that, in conjunction with many other bad aspects of my food intake, help me shed off 50+ pounds.

I buy 3 gallons of water a week, and yet I’m not sure I can put myself in the upper column. To me, when I want water, and when I want a flavored beverage–they’re almost different types of thirsty.

Honestly, I am acutely aware of the total number of calories I should consume per day to maintain a healthy weight - I don’t have any room in the budget for 100s of calories of flavored beverages. I drink a cup of coffee (with 2 little non dairy creamers) in the morning, mugs of plain hot tea throughout the day and water with my meals. I generally have a non fat latte 2-3 times per week. I never drink regular soda, but I drink the occasional Hansen’s diet soda (love the root beer). I usually have 1-2 glasses of red wine a week.

I make a conscious choice to rarely drink calories. I don’t LOVE water, but I like it well enough.

I usually drink either water or booze.

It makes me cringe when I see someone drinking a coke or other sweet drink while eating something sweet.

It’s hard to find tea that isn’t sweetened, so water is usually the best choice if you’re running into a convenience store to grab a drink, there are always bottles available. I was glad when the theaters started offering them because I always had to sneak one in before.

Am I the only one with the ‘no sweet drinks’ quirk?

Before my middle daughter was out on her own, she loved bottled water. I, however, got tired of (one) paying for it and (two) trashing all those plastic bottles. So I bought a water filtration pitcher for our fridge. Turns out, my youngest daughter loves water, as long as it’s ‘fresh, pure water’, which is what she started calling it years ago when I first bought the pitcher!

I voted for ‘love’ water, though that’s a strong word. . .First thing in the morning, and when I’m truly thirsty, nothing hits the spot the way water does! I get up, fill a big glass with lots of ice, fill the glass with water from the pitcher. . .ahhhhhh. Instant refreshment!

I do drink sodas (diet) and iced tea. But I don’t care for flavored waters at all. They taste too, I dunno, artificial (ironic, I know, considering what’s in diet soda!)

I don’t love water, but usually choose it over most other drinks, because I don’t want to consume too much sugar, or many artificial dyes and flavors.

I wavered between voting for LOVE water and “drink it from time to time.” Plain water is about half of my fluid intake, but it’s more like a strong like than love. When I’m working out (or just doing heavy labor), or just plain thirsty (especially if I’ve woken up thirsty), I prefer lukewarm water, and will drink a quart in seconds; if I’m eating a meal, or on a break at work, I prefer cold diet energy drink or diet soda, and tend to nurse it.
