I have the Sea Turtle tag on one car and the old ‘Veterans’ tag on the other [whoa, they changed the design again, dagnabbit!
My vote for ugly tag goes to the
“State of the Arts” tag. Really hard to read, and three torn pieces of paper just doesn’t say “Arts” to me.
[Personally, I would have used the sample letters from the Florida A & M tag on the University of South Florida tag. Just too darned funny to me at 7:30 am.]

I really like the FAMU tag (see screech’s link), and really detest the one for my alma mater, UNF That’s supposed to be an osprey (the mascot) but looks more like a somewhat peeved sparrow.
Hey, Great News! The Legislature couldn’t pass a budget, or do anything to improve education, but they did add 3 more tags to choose from (giving us 56): breast cancer research, youth golf, and save the whales off Florida’s coast. This last one might be interesting, it was designed by Wyland, the artist who does all those huge murals of whales (no sample yet).
Hey, when in the heck did they take the Burrowing Owl off the FIU tag?!?! Now that was one p-o’ed but cute looking owl!

Breast cancer research, I can see, whales yeah (except the wild dolphins tag looks a little too psychadelic for my taste, and the Indian River Lagoon, Large Mouth Bass, and Tampa Bay Estuary tags all look alike to me), but youth golf?!
And what happened to the Girl Scouts tag?!
Then again, I did know the one person in the state who had the “Miami Hooters Arena Football Team” tag. It’s since been dropped.
