you can mark the entries so that nobody can see them if you wish. i do that quite a bit… I like having an online journal because i type tons faster than I write.

Funny story about LiveJournal (and a cautionary tale to those of you just starting them):
I was in a class this semester that I really really disliked. So, as is my wont, I complained about it in my LiveJournal. Rather severely. Including some pointed observations about my teacher (who I didn’t name, luckily). Then one day I check my email, and lo and behold, I find an email from the aforementioned (unnamed) teacher with some choice quotes from my LiveJournal, and some comment about watching what I say because it’s a small world out there.
Needless to say, I rather quickly took down the offending entries, and now have a slightly less open journal. So remember that it’s not quite the same thing as writing in a diary. Anyone can see it, unless you specifically choose not to let them (something I didn’t consider until it bit me).
Nothing horrible on there anymore though. Thank heavens.

I just started mine today. I’ve been reading a couple of other people’s for a while, and my big ‘not journal keeping’ problem is usually that I lose the darn things, or can’t find a good pen, or my hand cramps after half a page… This gets rid of all of those.

Why, yes…yes I do. I must warn, though, that I have no secrets. Especially lately. My LJ gets the same treatment from me as a private journal, except I’m spewing my details to the world at large.

And me! I started mine last January.
It chronicles the fast paced, glamourous life of a housewife. Try to hold yourself back. Not only will you want to add me to your friends list, but you’ll feel like commenting all the time. Really.
Soda, you are so right about this one. I just started mine on July 12 of this year. I already have 21 entries. I use it as my vent or whatever. It also helps that I can relate to others through interests. I am part of a few music(just guess what bands there are) communities. I just feel a little old for the crowd there, but I think of myself as an older friend to them. To help them keep their heads on and not go too overboard. Okay, okay, it makes me feel wanted. Is that so bad? Anyway, not one person has commented in my journal, so I am out to comment on someone else’s.
Oooooh. Comment on mine! I feel special when someone comments.
