Never have, but I do assign human traits to inanimate objects, especially the machines I work with.
I don’t give names to things unless it’s to call it a piece of shit or the like. It always reminds me of Basil Fawlty thrashing his car because it wouldn’t start. My stepfather named our '54 Ford “Betsy” or some such. Then when we got a '57 Ford, I asked him what it’s name was and he looked confused. I pointed out that the old car had a name and he said “Oh, okay, this one is Lizzie”.
