Do you partake?

I’ve heard that the question “Do you party?” varies from city to city. In some cities it means “Do you smoke weed?”, and in others it means “Do you do coke?”.

Just hang on a little bit. There is supposed to be some guy who comes around and turns it into something a little more enjoyable.

Nobody answered the question. What are some other words ?
I can’t think of any because I just partook.

I thought of alcohol first; secondly, I had a vague idea involving unusual food that a lot of people might be leery to eat, perhaps in an effort to make them sound more…sacred…and less…gross? As in:

“Will you be partaking of the rocky mountain oysters?”

or,

“I knew she was the one for me when she agreed to partake of the smelts.”

Mmm. Smelts.

Um…make, followed by a verb or a noun without a definite article, but used as a verb in its entirety (does that make sense?), seems limited to:

Make fun, make way, make haste, and make love. Any others?

Maybe using “partake” when describing smokin’ the mj just goes along with the whole pothead culture of using formal language to be ironic. “Righteous! Excellent!” and all that.

And I never inhaled. Well, rarely.

I thought of alcohol first, too. Which is why I clicked the thread…I just started drinking again after about 11 years.

I don’t partake in weed, but I have in my youth. I love the smell of it and think it should be legal.

A rare smoker here, but that’s what came to mind first.
