I eat both on the same plate so…
Steak.
Surf and turf, baby! Lashings of Bearnaise sauce needed.
Lobster is fine, but there is nothing else like a good steak.
Crab does beat lobster. Steak also beats lobster.
Crab beats steak. I don’t like lobster. I gave it an honest try, I even went out to Hulls Harbour in Nova Scotia, and picked one that they just pulled out of the ocean. They steamed it fresh, with corn on the cob and boiled potatoes.
Nope. Didn’t HATE it, but I just didn’t enjoy it, especially not considering the cost.
Steak. I simply don’t like seafood.
Lobster, because they scream louder than steaks when killed.
Go to Costco. That’s one of the few reasons I keep my Costco membership. I’ve never been happy with most of the supermarkets around my house’s selection of steaks, nor the cut (too thin for what I like.) Costco is great on both regards, plus they have some Prime-graded meat available, too. I’ve never been disappointed by meat from Costco. It actually is a bit more expensive than what I can get at the supermarket, but, for steaks, it’s always better (or, I should say, more to my tastes.)
Lobster - it’s a New England thing.
Oh wait, I missed this comment. Crab? You wanna bring crab to the table? I’ll need a large sign advising people to keep their hand and feet clear of the eating machine.
King crab legs could be the cornerstone of a religion.
This sounds like a local version of Rock, Paper, Scissors.
Steak…I don’t eat seafood.
And steaks can’t fight back.
I’d prefer either steak or lobster to eating the late Earl Warren.
I enjoy lobster occasionally, but I find it VERY rich. On Maine vacations I generally eat lobster once, then switch over to steamed or fried clams for the rest of the trip. I can never get enough clams. Or oysters, or crabs, for that matter.
I eat less steak than I could as a young’un, and kinda prefer good ground beef, well seasoned, formed into a large patty, grilled over a hot fire or fried in a very hot pan. With onion gravy and mashed potatoes.
Another reason against lobster: They’re lousy tippers, as they’re so shellfish.
Steak. I am not eating what looks like a giant insect.
I seem to recall a story about how early prisons in Maine used to regularly serve lobster to inmates because they were locally quite cheap. The inmates negotiated an agreement with the prisons to limit the amount of times that lobster would be served. I can’t imagine inmates ever demanding less steak.
Steak.
I’ll go hungry before I’d eat lobster. Or any seafood.
Steak since lobster has too little meat in a typical serving. If it were made easier and the serving size were upped I’d…still have to think abouut it because I’ve only had lobster once. It didn’t taste bad but the butter was what was really nice. Steak and butter might be even tastier though!
