I sleep naked wherever I overnight.
And if I should happen to sleepwalk to the ice machine, just don’t look.

That’s kind of how I think of those two words. “Nekkid” has a coy naughtiness to it.
Anyhow, I almost never sleep naked. It’s always at least boxers for me, usually a t-shirt, too. And, when it gets brisk, I love sleeping in full-on flannel pajamas. They are so comfortable and cozy for me. I don’t get the sleeping naked thing–it’s uncomfortable, IMHO.
I only sleep “nekkid.”
It’s natural and more comfortable. I travel 150+ days a year.
I’ve had maids walk in on me a couple of times, but not something I’m going to get all upset about. Not a big deal. I do the same at home or hotel… As far as an emergency, I have a pair of sweats usually in reach. I have had fire alarms and tornado alarms go off. But still not an issue.
Out of curiosity, exactly which search terms led to the resurrection of this thread?
“sleep naked” “hotel maids” Probably looking for porn. ![]()
Always. And at home as well. Can’t stand wearing clothes to bed. Except my angora slipper sox if I’m RILLY RILLY cold.
I sleep naked everywhere except in jail.
The key is to be comfy when traveling, and I travel almost every week. I do stay at upper end hotels so the sheets and an pillow cases are fresh and clean.
I’m not one for blankets either, they usually end up on the floor…
SO the answer is I pretty much always sleep in the nude. It’s just more comfortable for me.
I think you got it in one! But it’s a fun thread that I don’t think I read (or remember reading).
I prefer naked. (And the terms ‘butt-nekkid’ and ‘buck-ass-nekkid’ and ‘bucky-tail-nekkid’.) I often sleep naked, but then I’ll put a long shirt, no undies on. Unless it’s cold. (That one week in Houston!)
I do the same in hotel rooms, but I do make sure to know where a pair of pants and some kind of shirt. (I’ve lived thru one actual fire as a kid and been thru 3 real fire alarms in hotels thru the years*–my luck cannot hold.) I have no problem running out in some version of the clothes on my back.
But I do always put the chain/locky thing up and a notice. I’ve never had anything happen and I’m sure the maid would’ve not seen anything that she’d not seen before.)**
*My mom and I were rescued and lived and the small apt building burned to the ground. Luckily we were the only people there. Bless you firefighters! The others were real fires (not dangerous but b/c it was a hotel, we were evacuated. One was a false alarm and that person can grrrrr <Pit Language>.) And I’ve not traveled that much considering my age.
**I think it would usually be trying to communicate in two languages that we were both kinda horrified by the experience.
I think I have slept naked a total of three times in hotel rooms, once due to spur-of-the-moment sex (in someone else’s hotel room) and twice because the airline lost my bag. I think this is more often than I have ever slept naked at home, so, yes.
I don’t even remember starting this thread but it’s fun to see it back in action. And I still wear at least a tshirt and undies to bed when I’m away from home.
For some reason I tend to sleep and spend my time in general naked in hotel rooms when I am alone. When not alone I behave about the same way I do at home.
Yes, I do. As at home, I have shorts close at hand if needed.
I sleep naked in hotels, deploying the chain/burglar bar and “Do Not Disturb” sign as needed. I suppose it’s possible that I could forget either of those and be surprised by the housekeeper. But surely the sight of me naked, while not enjoyable, is not the most disturbing thing the average hotel housekeeper has seen.
Many hotel rooms are too cold to sleep nude (either insufficient heat in winter or they carnk up the A/C to industrial refrigeration levels in summer) but at times I have, if the conditions allow it. Not that I seek it, as my normal sleep status is tshirt and shorts – I can put on pants, shoes and grab a jacket, my wallet and keys and the small bag containing my medication within a matter of seconds if need be (and my smartphone, which is on the nightstand doing travel-alarm duty, makes a handy flashlight).
At home I’ve slept naked for at least 30 years; on the road I have a pair of pajama pants that fit comfortably without bunching up that I normally use.
I can’t stand anything on when sleeping. Pajamma’s just get tangled and twisted. I sleep nude and usually under just he sheet.
So, pretty much the same as when you answered the question two years ago (see post #69)? ![]()
Heck, I don’t sleep naked at home!
