I’d like you to realize that every argument that’s being applied to this woman has, in the past, been applied to those people with the deluded, bizarre, and disgusting idea that they can fall in love with members of the same sex. Just to keep things in perspective.
Hey to keep in perspective, WE ARE TALKING ABOUT AN INAMINATE OBJECT, not a living person. It is a freaking WALL. It does not talk, walk, eat, cry, breathe, sleep, piss or shit.
Yeah, which would be why none of us find it sexually stimulating. This woman does. Doesn’t affect my life. She seems happy with her chosen lifestyle. I’ve got no reason to get upset. I’m not going to gain much by mocking her either. I can find humor in the situation due to its strangeness, but I don’t see the necessity of being mean-spirited.
I think many of you are missing the point. Neither Angkins or anyone else here is saying this woman should be taken out and shot (or committed or anything else). If she wants to go around saying she’s Mrs. Berlin Wall, that’s her business. But by the same token, if she has the right to say she’s married to a wall, I (and Angkins) have the right to say she’s a nut. And don’t forget that Mrs. Berlin Wall chose of her own free will to share her marriage with the world.

If someone made a claim that they could communicate telepathically with their brother/sister/spouse/friend/dog I have no doubt that unless that person was able to prove it in a controlled environment, most of the members of the SDMB would think that the person was a fake, and request that they either put up or shut up.
Mrs. BerlinWall claims to be able to do the same with inanimate objects.
