I have a wallet in my purse. It holds my ID, my various medical insurance cards, credit/debit cards, check book (which is rarely used) a pen, and a little bit of cash. And some old photos. And a copy of my COVID vaccine card. And maybe some other stuff.

Why? Do you think that younger dudes do not carry a wallet? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

There is certainly less of a need than in the olden days.

Of course I carry a wallet. Where else would I keep my band-aids and postage stamps?

Do minimalist clip style wallets like “The Ridge” count as a wallet? Or are we talking leather bi-fold.

You decide.

My son is 21 and carries one.

Yea for him. Is he voting in this poll?

Okeedoke. I’m still counting it as a wallet and will vote accordingly.

If the wallet is velcro, please ask your mom if you can vote in this poll.

If the vaccine card actually fit in my wallet, I’d put it there. Instead I have to do the phone thing because CDC decided to use an oversized card. In the UK, my son’s card is the same size as a standard credit/debit card and fits perfectly.

If you drive, where do you keep your drivers license if not in a wallet?

Why? Is it more secure if it’s with you?

My state permits an official electronic version of my DL on my phone.

I have my vaccine card in my wallet and on my phone. And where else am I supposed to keep my driver’s license, insurance cards and info, seldom used but necessary credit cards etc.?

A photocopy would be acceptable as well. I just dropped my phone two days ago, so a physical backup is good. And yes, wallets get lost/stolen too, so redundancy in both directions is good.

I don’t carry a purse, clashes with my whiskers, so hip pocket. Wallet is black leather, biker-style, riveted, purchased at a street craft fair around 1974, and for at least twenty years “friends” have been saying I need a new wallet.

It’s ragged, but prob in better shape than me.
