Other than one wisdom tooth removed, the only non-OEM part I have is a few anchors and some monofilimant in my shoulder (I even have pictures) to hold part of it together.
Well, the OP specified:
The only reason I mentioned mine was that the eight that I’m missing didn’t fall out naturally – they were all surgically removed.
My friend Nigel Tufnel says that not only does he still have his foreskin, he still has his fiveskin.
Let’s see…
Aside from adenoids and two large birthmarks - just a couple wisdom teeth and neighboring molars.
Missing: foreskin, tonsils, appendix, wisdom and three other teeth, both lenses.
Added: a plate and some screws in an ankle, a pacemaker.
Hmmm… Foreskin. That’s it unless, you include 2 lower Wisdom Teeth at Age 54. First broken Bone at 55. Doctor says I drink too much, smoke too much and eat poorly. I outlived in age, all my immediate family; Doctor says I’m disgustingly healthy… LOL
Tonsils, adenoids, wisdom teeth, a big chunk of nasal septum, gall bladder, foreskin…all gone.
Just one upper wisdom tooth, on the right.
Otherwise all original parts are still installed.
Missing:
- one adult tooth and pieces of several others
- the top portion of the left femur (hip replacement)
Otherwise bone stock, so to speak.
Ive had some spinal cord nerves “uninstalled”.
Tonsils taken out age 10.
Hymen broken as an adult.
Upper left wisdom tooth taken out and about bloody time. I’d been trying to have it taken care of months and finally changed dentists; the new one had a pair of pliers and no qualms about using it.
Removed parts in order:
wisdom teeth
part of my right temporal lobe
gall bladder and the enclosed gall stones
I would be happy to have my ocular lenses replaced with plastic ones that will end my dependence on contact lenses, but it will have to wait until I have cataracts or become rich
Tonsils out at 5, billions or maybe trillions of sperm gone forever, half my neck bones out at 61 and replaced with titanium, prostate gland out six months later.
I lack my right tube and ovary, my appendix, and my right kidney.
Foreskin
About half of the cartilage from my left patella
Gallbladder
Tonsils & adenoids
Much of the soft palate and uvula (They took my screamer!)
Some unspecified portion of the nasal turbinates
C5-6 spinal disk (replaced with a steel and plastic joint)
A few bits of the C4-5 spinal disk
L4-L5-S1 spinal disks (replaced with bone grafts)
The “bad” inner layers of both corneas (LASIK surgery)
An 8-gage diameter piece of my nasal septum
All four wisdom teeth and two non-wise teeth, only one of which was replaced
Tonsils, addnoids, & gall bladder removed. I had half my liver cut out due to a benign tumor. It grew back. (The liver, not the tumor). No bionics yet aside from some dental implants.
OH! When I had the dental implant, the oral surgeon had to do a bone transplant into my jaw. He used powdered cow bone. I’m not sure how that works, really. I assume that if I do 23 & me, I will come back as part werecow.
Gall bladder seems to be the part with the worst recall rate.
The only thing I’m missing is foreskin, two teeth and half my thyroid.
Turns out when the doctor feels your throat during a checkup, it is for a reason. All my tests were fine, but I still had a lump. It was 98% chance of benign, 2% of a cancer that kills you in a few months.
That was 25 years ago.
oh, I had that, too. I’m not really sure what those do-dads are (I’m sure I looked it up at the time). I thought they grow back?
Now down another tooth. sigh
In no particular order:
Tonsils removed when I was about 3-4 years old (1958-1959?)
Wisdom teeth when I turned sixteen
Recently:
Gall bladder removed, a major improvement in my life
Umbilical hernia removed and repaired (life threatening after ignoring it for 8 years)
Cataract surgery
GED (pieces of chicken was caught between my throat and stomach, not sure if that counts as organ removal. I did have the presence of of mind to ask the doctor if I could have a copy of of the pictures that they took. When I visited my General Surgeon a week later she went “Ewww”
