If so why? Do you still enjoy it? I haven’t kept up regularly with the series after season 16 and have tried to watch a few of the latest episodes here and there but can never finish them.
I think I’ve been not-watching it longer than I was watching it.
But every now and then I’ll catch a 21st century episode. Not all of them are stupid.
There really isn’t another show to compare for such longevity is there? You still watch Meet the Press?
It’s pretty much a different show than what us old farts started watching. I don’t watch new Trek either for many of the same reasons I don’t watch Simpsons.
Funny, I just seconds ago was reading a Simpsons article that Google News pointed me towards. And I was just thinking about how no, I do not. I still watch the Halloween episodes, but there are dozens of regular episodes that I have missed now. (I have also stopped watching Family Dad and American Guy. The only Fox or Fox-adjacent cartoons I watch now are in the Bobverse: Bob’s Burgers, The Great North, and "Central Park*.)
Still watch American Dad I really enjoy that show. Stopped watching Family Guy after the series somehow became progressively darker in tone.
I haven’t watched it in several years. At one time it was my favorite show. That said, I don’t watch tv period unless it’s a major sporting event.
No. I think I watched through the late 90s/early 00s, and then checked out. I tried checking in from time to time, and the humor just wasn’t the same and it wasn’t for me anymore. Perhaps me aging. Perhaps it was the writing. I can’t remember the last time I checked in, though, so maybe there’s been something I’d find amusing. I’m guessing last I watched an episode was early 2010s and it was … meh.
Meanwhile, I still find a lot of funny stuff with SNL, another “this ain’t as good as it used to be” show. It helps to see it in a curated Youtube video, but I haven’t even found any “best of [last 20 years] Simpsons” type videos that have made me chuckle.
I finally gave up about two or three seasons ago.
I really wish this show would die and make room for newer animation.
The only time I watch these days is when the Super Bowl is on FOX and they air an episode immediately following the game.
Every now and then I’ll watch the latest episode on Disney plus and the plots seem to be vehicles for getting from one mediocre joke to another. Marges voice sounds awful as well (Julie Kavner being in her 70s now) but Fox will draw every last drop of blood out of the series.
I watch the Halloween specials on Disney+.
Yeah, the Hulu collects the new ones, and I’ll eventually watch them. I’m usually doing something else, too, though. So I haven’t really engaged with them in over a decade.
Not counting the treehouse episodes. I still seek those out to watch.
I still watch it, more out of habit than anything else. Back when I was in college it was “appointment television” for me. Now I don’t really care if I miss it, but I watch it most of the time just because it’s on the same night as The Great North and Bob’s Burgers, which I like better than The Simpsons.
I’ve been watching since the Tracey Ullman days. I took a long break for a while. I just couldn’t sit and watch them live at 8pm on Sundays. But now that I can pop them on my computer while I’m messing around with other things and pay less than my full attention, I watch them new again.
No, probably haven’t regularly watched in 20-22 years or so. Around 2000, I was out.
Any recommendation to which ones are better than others?
I still watch them. I’ve seen every one of them. I haven’t really paid attention for many years, it’s just kind of a tradition, and Simpsons trivia is a family interest.
I liked ToH 25 (from season 26). Lisa’s story from ToH 31 (season 32) was pretty good.
Cheers!
I quit watching at least 15 years ago. It seemed like they were recycling jokes and stories.
How many original jokes can you make about Homer and Duff beer or his smart ass skateboarding kid?
I’m a little curious how they keep churning out episodes with a family that never ages or changes. AFAIK most of the town characters are the same. Except they killed off the Okily Dokily! neighbor.

Except they killed off the Okily Dokily! neighbor.
If they killed off Ned Flanders, that’s news to me. But they long ago killed off his wife.
To the OP’s question: Every once in a great while, I’ll watch a new episode (through the Fox TV website), but those once-in-a-whiles have been getting fewer and farther between. (Pro tip: with the right browser extension, I can watch them at increased speed and get through an episode faster.) I don’t actively dislike the show nowadays, it’s just that there are so many other things I could be watching, or otherwise doing with my time.
