Do you throw out your cup of tea if your pet puts a limb inside?

So, when you have your dogs on your desktop/kitchen table and are reading a newspaper while drinking some liquid and your dog or pet dunks a tail inside, do you throw it out? What about if he puts a paw or leg inside, or puts his entire snout into it and drinks some? I am asking because I saw something similar on here before.

Tail, sometimes no depending on whether they left fur behind. Paw, hell yes, that drink is dumped. I have cats, and they use their paws to bury their crap. I’m not sure they’ve ever drank out of my glass, but I’d dump that too; you shouldn’t share saliva with anything that can give itself a rimjob.

Wait, back up: When you have your dogs on the table?

I am so glad to not have pets!

My cats do the dumping before sticking limbs in.

<bolding mine>

I can give myself a rimjob and often drink out of my cat’s bowl. He doesn’t seem to mind.

Can doesn’t mean should. ::bleah::

Hell yes, I don’t let animals within breathing distance if I can help it! That damn cat is always sneezing or licking himself. :shudder:

None of my pets ever went on tables.

This reminds me of the viscerally disgusting habit that some have of letting their dog or cat lick them on their open mouths or tongue. “It’s ok because I love her!” :dubious:

My niece did this with the family dog. She was 3 at the time. She thought it was funny. She’s out grown it now, which she tells me every time she sees me. Kids.

Why would I throw out a perfectly good dog?

Yes, the tea is no longer sanitary…

My cats are never allowed on a surface I eat from.

I would throw it out if I put my own limb in it.

My dogs have all been too big to get on the table, and wouldn’t be allowed on it if they could.

I have the dreaded Germo-vision™ . So yeah, if the animal touches it, it’s gone.
