Do you trust Trump and his administration?

Trust as in truth vs fiction or deliberately misrepresenting facts in pursuit of his agenda.

So much has been said about Trump’s veracity, or lack there of, that this is really a fair question.

Do you Trust Trump and his administration to be forthright and truthful to the American people? Your gut feeling is:

I am willing to go up one level to “fact check,” but I believe he is a pathological liar and egotist who will say anything at any time to get applause, ego-boo or a “win.”

I’m not sure if he’s just lost in a world where he has no idea what truth is, or if he’s actively misleading and misrepresenting. I voted pathological liar as that appears to be the case.

I voted pathological liar. He lies with such casual ease over such minor issues, and seemingly solely for the sake of his ego, that it is very difficult to believe anything that he says.

Off to IMHO.

I wondered about the latter but am more and more firmly convinced of the former - he’s about ten thousand clues short of a full set. Had he bumbled and farted and preened along while making “sensible” decisions behind the scenes - sensible as it what we’d expect from Pence or another Bush or any hardliner handed the keys - it could be dismissed as an act. But even where he needs to be smarter, more selective and “sensible” to further his own interests, he pisses all over his own shoes and everyone else’s as well. And wants us to admire the pretty golden stream.

Agent Orange is a man who has lived in his own dreamworld as much as did Michael Jackson, and fostered his own selective “knowledge” (== vast ignorance about basic things in the world, like what a President actually does) and - IMHO but increasingly obvious to many - is now mentally ill and possibly moving into early stages of dementia.

We don’t have to rely on our gut feelings when there is plenty of factual evidence that Trump and his minions are lying cunts who are not fit to shovel shit from one place to another.

I don’t know how many of his contrafactual statements he actually believes, but I’m certain he doesn’t CARE. He’ll say whatever it takes to make himself look more important. He’ll happily contradict any member of his cabinet, any time, and he won’t even hesitate to contradict himself.

I try to always fact check but also believe Trump is a pathological liar (who, probably believes his own lies which is scarier) so I picked that option. I assume anything they say is bullshit unless or until I confirm otherwise.

I’ve no doubt that he knows he’s lying. He also knows we know he’s lying.

Trump will say whatever he needs to say in whatever situation he is in to create a narrative that expands his ego. That is all he fundamentally cares about, the size of his ego. I think he just views the presidency or his wealth as tools to inflate his ego.

He is a pathological liar, but virtually every lie he tells is to expand his ego in one way or another. So at least there is a discernible pattern.

I don’t think everyone is voting accurately.

I would have picked the second one until yesterday, when I found the Trump Twitter archive and all the lies he’s told over the past four years were organized by topic. The birther one is really fascinating. A collection of lie after lie, and such bragging woven in between. Apparently he was the Only One who could force Obama to finally produce that birth certificate and we should all be grateful for his three year battle to finally force Obama to provide it after all this time.

Politicians lie. But usually, their lies are agenda driven.

Trump’s lie are pathological. He lies about things that have no relevance to his Presidency, and he lies about things no one gives two shits about besides him.

Ain’t enough hours in a lifetime for fact-checking this shit weasel. I’ll take it for granted everything he says is spurious nonsense.

I’ve had some experience with pathological liar’s and bottom line is that they can actually pass a lie test, because they believe their lies.

Kenendy lied
Nixon lied
Clinton lied
Bushes cabinet lied

Where does Obama’s dirty laundry fit in all of this?

Trump also stands a chance of being the best POTUS we have ever had with the wall and the reduction of taxes and the promised growth that goes with it.

Keep bad mouthing him and you will be sorry … flow with him and hope for the best.

Trump is a mover and a shaker … He’s done more in three weeks than Obama did in three years.

Earthquakes are movers and shakers. Doesn’t mean that what happens is good.

His chances of being the best ever is about the same as a giant space goat devouring the planet in the next few minutes.

Such as

“promised growth,” that what we always get with lower taxes. What we actually get is often higher deficits.

And I’d prefer no wall, so there’s that. Luckily, neither Congress nor the Mexicans are in the mood to pay for one, so that’s just not going to happen.

Same with Obama such as … :dubious:
It’s a battle for what we think. I’m just stirring it up, poor Trump doesn’t seem to have anyone one his side in here.

One thing I am happy about on Obama is the fence sitting he did on Syria saving thousands of military lives.
