Do you use your username anywhere else?

I am known as Narile in many places, though most of them are online. Am also known as Mythilt in several places. At SF cons, I am usually Mythilt or Myth.

It’s also my stage name, which I use at my sold-out performances at major arenas and other concert venues throughout the world.

To my friends, I’m simply “Mule Dick.”

I would use Kat everywhere, however it’s usually taken. When it is taken, I will generally use something longer that includes Kat as part of the username, if possible. I hate having to resort to something completely different.

In real life people call me Dianne, or at least that’s how they pronounce it. Here I just go by Diane.

I’m another of those people who uses my name all over the place. Expecially when playing computer and console RPGs. It works well in both fantasy and Sci-Fi settings.

If you ever came across a “Trion” in Ultima Online, that may have been me.

I use this name on the ~half dozen boards where I’m registered (hardwarecentral, junkscience, snopes, fathom and a couple more that I can’t recall just now). Somewhere (it was a UL board) beatle was taken, so I registered as SDMB_beatle.

I’m always a variation of lolagranola, if it’s used already.

LolaG (Riddler and Tripod), LolaG1 (The Globe), lolagranolacan (one of my e-mails and AOL IM), lolagranola1 (Delphi), lolagranola1998 (Yahoo), etc…

Wow, was that back when the DoD had bike couriers transport diskettes to fill in the gaps in the network?

I used this name on DWANGO. If anyone knows what that stands for (without looking it up first!), I will give them a chocolate chip cookie the size of Rhode Island.

Well, my real life nickname is Beaker and it used it on my my first message board (they had an open username system). Once I explored beyond that board, I found that Beaker is always already reserved. So I had to modify it a bit. Now I use beakerxf everywhere just to simplify things.

It seems that I am the one and only Feynn and this is the ID I use wherever I travel on the http://www.

Yes.

  • Sarracenia psittacina * is too difficult for Aha to spell.

DWANGO… that was the original method for running Deathmatches in Doom, wasn’t it?

“sliv” is pretty much strictly an electronic name for me. It’s in my email address, it’s how I sign high scores on video games, that sort of thing.

Actually I can’t help but use Bear Nenno IRL. I usually use Ursus68 online. I almost did when I registered here, but I just decided not to. I use Bear Nenno and Ursus68 about equally online, but IRL it’s just Bear Nenno.

Oh yeah, I got an AOL screen name for the summer (mom’s account, I’d never pay for such a thing) and evensven was already take becasue of my Instant messenger name. So on AOL I am evensvenrocks, which has a nice touch of self-promotion.

I need a nickname. I am moving in with another Jennifer next year and I don’t do Jenny. I guess a lot of people call me Shemp, but it is kind of a communal nickname, and can mean I am one of five people.

Nope, I only use this name for this board. Everywhere else, I’m something different. Just the way I am.

I’m ChrisCTP everywhere except for AIM and livejournal, where I’m firemooncds and firemoon, respectively.

I’m Wonko to some of my friends (sometimes), and when I want a pseudonym, I’m John Watson- Wonko The Sane’s legal name in **So Long and Thanks For All The Fish

I use TroubleAgain here and on snopes, but that’s it. I couldn’t get AIM to take any variation of Trouble, or my real first name. So there, I’m russ052194. On Microsoft’s IM program, I’m rhorus, I think. I don’t use it much anymore. There are a couple of topical boards that I use my IRL name on, but not many.

what a convieient thread to come across having just decided to emerge from a long lurk and actually declare my presence.

I use Bad Hat as an extension of my IRL nickname at work; “the Hat” or “hattie” or “hatness”, it goes on and on. Used to wear a lot of hats. It stuck when I got a new boss who’s name was Matt. Now our department is referred to affectionately as Matt and the Hat. (Yeah I thought it was cute, too…)

Or the “noise boys” or “those geeks in audio”, etc…

I must say its nice to be out of the lurk and into the light, this board has been making my night for ages. I hope to have some fun here.
