Do you worry about getting hit by a foulball at a ball game?

What about getting hit twice at the same game?

What are the odds??

Once, OK, that’s bad luck. The second time, maybe she was just noticing the disclaimer on the back of the ticket (“The holder voluntarily assumes all risk of danger incidental to the game of baseball…”) and trying to figure out if it applied to her.

Or maybe she might, y’know, pay attention to the game. :stuck_out_tongue:

No. But the odds, hell the odds have gotta be like a whole bunch to like, one or something.

Something like “Pay attention, dumbass!” to one.

I don’t see what the big deal is. I’ve been hit by foul balls over a dozen times in a single game. Granted, I was standing right behind the catcher at the time, and I was wearing protective equipment.

I hope the fans around her at least gave her both the balls as souvenirs.

I’ve never seen anyone get hit twice in the same game, but I did once see a little girl get hit by a foul ball that was hit by her own mother. Poor woman was hysterical.

I did see a highlight this year of a fan who caught two foul balls in the same game. Kinda the same as they both went to the same person, only this guy was actually paying attention to the game.

I know who’s getting picked last for dodgeball.

I don’t worry since I watch the game and I make sure that those I go with are near enough that I can protect them in the event of a line drive foul. Perhaps this girl just happened not to be watching those particular pitches or perhaps she just wasn’t able to follow the ball off the bat. Not everyone who goes to a game ever played baseball, and I think liners right at you are one of the toughest catches to make even if you see it and have a glove.
