That’s just wrong and probably inhumane to the patient.
I’ve always seen a bug in the ear in the doc’s office/ER killed via oil or lidocaine poured into the ear. That way the patient doesn’t feel/hear said bug moving around.
As a child of the generation that was traumatized by the Earwig episode of The Twilight Zone … I’m just gonna “NOPE!” on out of here.
