Well then millions of human lives are lost as the sperm contains human life. A man who’s sperm is not alive cannot impregnate a woman. Life is passed on through the sperm and ova.
I also wonder how many innocent lives are lost in a war, we know ahead of time when we go to war(even a just one) that many innocent lives, unborn, women ,children, men etc. will be killed.
We also know that there are countries that have many innocent children dying of starvation, lack of medical attention etc. some people even justify the death penalty. But they willingly march against Abortions. Some times an abortion can be self defense.
Perhaps if people concentrated more on helping to prevent the need for an abortion, if men were more concerned about the fact that the woman may bear his child(that he doesn’t want), and a woman thought of the consequences then perhaps the need for an abortion could be reduced. Rapists etc. are not thinking of a woman or what will happen to her. One could say if a man doesn’t want abortions he should keep his pants zipped! Both the man and woman need to be responsible.
However sometimes even responsible people have an unwanted pregnancy, and if a woman cannot bear the child for emotional, physical, or financial reasons then unless the anti-abortion people take responsible for the being they want to be born then they should except the responsibility for the womans expenses, as well as the child care etc… If that is too much of a burden then they are only pretending to be pro-Life and just pro-birth, and want to impose their beliefs on another.

The people killed in war are also human beings. To say one values human life and uses death to solve a problem, is not thinking of human beings,nor can say they are pro-life in it’s full meaning… When all killing is stopped then we can say we are civilized.
All you are doing is redefining and degrading the phrase “human life” as meaning something not of any real worth. Playing word games won’t make those mindless single cells anything other than mindless single cells. If a sperm cell or a few million cells in a womb is a “human life”, then it’s perfectly all right to destroy “human lives” by the millions or billions or trillions. Because renaming them doesn’t make them more valuable.
They passed the Mexico City Policy, which pressured medical organizations all over the world to not perform or even talk about abortion. I support abortion on demand, for any or no reason, up to end of term. I am* willing to compromise* on abortion on demand, for any and no reason, up to the end of trimester 2, and for the slimmest medical necessity thereafter. But this does not mean that I “…agree that late-term abortions should, for strong preference, only occur in dire circumstances”. I *strongly prefer *that it be freely available under any circumstances, any time. I’m also A-OK with the use of abortion as birth control, BTW.
