Oh it is easy to understand his behavior. He was assuming that word had gotten out about him tearing up and that he was being teased. The question is why does she find him appealing? And I think because she finds the odd, nay enigmatic, interesting.
I think Danny’s got some PTSD going - I’m not sure the last “why” or two he said were actually directed at Clara.
This episode seemed packed with Star Trek references to me, and I can’t figure out why I haven’t seen more mention of it. I guess I’m the only one.
