I must approve of Amy’s fashion choices, the * Vincent * ensemble makes me come over all fashion editor - nice long blue coat and scarf, mini skirt, and boots, and ridiculous unbelievable hair. sigh

That was the best bit of TV I’ve seen all year. I was looking forward to it all week, and by God it didn’t disappoint.

I got nearly everything wrong, but the scene where River said “Let there be light…”
I got something small right!
I thought that was pretty good. The bit with
the fez (“Yeah. I wear a fez now. Fezzes are cool.”) was hilarious, as was the bit where the Doctor jumped about the museum to snatch a drink for Amy.
On the other hand
Didn’t really like the whole “If you remember people, you can bring them back bit”. That seemed a bit contrived to me.
Other than that it was very entertaining. I give it 7[sup]1/2[/sup] out of ten.
I thought your first spoiler was one of the funniest call back moments I’ve ever seen on TV. I giggled mightily.
I disagree about your second spoiler. I thought that was well established in previous episodes. If it was contrived, it’s been being contrived all season.
I don’t remember them explicitly establishing that. Which episodes are you talking about?
Somehow though without being as kitchen-sinky as the RTD finales.
It was entertaining, bringing back the good Doctor by simply remembering him was a bit, indifferent, but good fun.
Two points;
i) Is the RTD continuity now over ridden or rebooted?
ii) Is it possible to eat chips and fish fingers and simultaneously hide from the Daleks? My daughter says no
