Doctor Who Series Five: UK pace thread [edited title]

Damn, that was going to be MY clever observation. We know that Amy doesn’t remember the Daleks (and maybe other stuff), but since he hasn’t ASKED anyone else, for all we know all of Earth has forgotten the Daleks (at least).

And a giant Cyberking stomping on 19th-century London, to boot. I’m guessing it’s the whole world.

It’s the ducks! Eeeeeevil ducks!

And people said they didn’t understand why I find Rory attractive!
…I’ll be in my bunk.

…and whose quack doesn’t echo? That’s right, a DUCK’s! They ARE the silence!

The date isn’t just Amy’s wedding. It’s the date that the Doctor was/will be drawn from nothingness by memory, too. That’s fairly significant.

And I imagine that The Doctor would work that out, seeing as he’d just experienced it. But, again, that’d already been resolved. It was over an done with. No reason for him to wonder about it.

Nobody doesn’t understand why I find Amy attractive.

Funny. My wife and I were talking about this last night, and I mentioned that she was attractive. Her response: “Really, I don’t see it.”

…huh? Okay, lady.

Evil.

Congratulations, Mr. Pond.

I’m glad you’re here. I was beginning to wonder if the finale I saw, in which the Doctor stopped just short of saying “This is an unresolved issue that will be addressed next year,” was an alternate version.

We don’t know his full name, do we?

Rory Williams. It’s mentioned toward the end of episode 12, if not earlier.

ETA: It’s probably on his badge in the first episode, but we know that’s not reliable.

Yeah…I think some things are worth waiting for 2000 years. Probably.

And if anything is…it’ll be her.

I have to say that contrary to my earlier negativity about the new series, I have started buying the DVDs as they are released and am enjoying most of the episodes immensely.

By the way can anyone help with this please? I am having difficulty with one of the BBCs Doctor Who games.

The BBC is now giving some information about the 2010 Christmas Special. It’s going to have a Charles Dickens “Christmas Carol” theme. The hour-long show will join Doctor’s assistant Amy Pond (Karen Gillan) and new husband Rory Williams (Arthur Darvill) as they venture off on their honeymoon. Guest stars are Michael Gambon and Katherine Jenkins.

Steven Moffat is quoted as saying "“We’re going for broke with this one. It’s all your favourite Christmas movies at once, in an hour, with monsters. And the Doctor. And a honeymoon.”

Oh, dear. I was really, really hoping they weren’t doing yet another Christmas Carol.

But they did that already - well, subverted it - with ‘The Next Doctor’.

Hmm…

Can we please have a Halloween horror special?

Really? Will the Doctor get an Official Red Ryder Carbine-Action Two-Hundred-Shot Range Model Air Rifle? Will he shoot someone’s eye out with it?
