So this afternoon I was about to book my trip to Copenhagen using a credit I had from an unused ticket with United Airlines. When I called up they said I needed a voucher, which was supposed to have been mailed to me earlier.
After digging through the stuff on my desk for a few minutes and looking in all the usual places, I soon came to the sinking conclusion that I had probably thrown the thing away, not realizing it was as good as cash. $533.12 down the drain. :smack:
But I started digging through my paper recycling bag, and there, all the way at the bottom, I found it. Whew! Based on its position, it may have been one of the first things I tossed in after taking the last bag out for pickup. If I had taken that bag out a day later, I might have really lost the voucher.
So all’s well that ends well, and I’ll be going to Copenhagen in June.
