It was about a little boy calling over the CB radio, saying he was lost in the mountains of New Mexico. (His father had crashed the truck, or some such.) The reports seemed to wonder whether it was a hoax.
I remember hearing this story in the late summer of 1972 or 1973, on the TV networks. But I was too young to follow it up.
Years later, it still rings some creepiness neurons.
Does anyone else remember it?
