I’m laughing so hard now I’m glad no one’s in the room. The yellow Necco wafers are the best, although the chocolate ones are pretty good.
I also like Lik-m-sticks, or whatever they are called! I could eat the candy sticks all by themselves. And I love turning my tongue purple from the powder! Yay!
You haven’t lived until you you’ve had Lucky Charms with Pepto Bismol poured over them!
Who needs a spoon; I just drink it straight out of the bottle. I also put it in the refridgerator; when I drink it cold, the ‘coldness’ somehow makes my heartburn feel a little better
Mmmm, pink liquid wintergreen bubblegum. I haven’t pepto in years. I actually like wintergreen Altoids but after a few I’m reminded that the scent is exactly the same as the toilet bowl cleaner we use. A tin lasts me a long time that way.
I kinda like Pepto. I also like black licorice, nyquil, circus peanuts, and necco wafers. But I ain’t eatin’ no candy corn. That stuff’s the devil’s candy.
One of my first memories is of ODing on Dimetapp when I was three or so. I started bouncing on my bed singing “I LOVE DIMETAPP!” My mom freaked out and called poison control or something, but I was fine.
I like the taste of Pepto okay–not enough to swig it from the bottle for no good reason, but enough that when I need it, it tastes kinda good.
Then, I’m weird: I absolutely adore the taste of the original gray-white chalky Kaopectate. When my mom gave it to me as a kid I considered it a treat.
When I was a kid, there was an ice-cream shop near our house that sold “Teaberry” flavored ice cream (I guess it was supposed to taste like Teaberry chewing gum). A friend who worked there told us that apparently the stuff tasted enough like Pepto that one customer came and bought a Teaberry milkshake so he could smuggle some Pepto into a reluctant child.
I tasted the ice cream. Didn’t much care for it but it wasn’t completely vile. I imagine that same taste in a chalky room-temp liquid would be no treat.
No comment on the advisability of feeding fatty dairy products on a child who had a condition warranting the use of Pepto
yummy, yummy, yummy, love the stuff. I always go through all the Valentine’s conversation hearts because the white ones taste EXACTLY like it. Deeeee-licious!
You beat me to it, Hal. I was wondering what mixed well with Pepto, and Ouzo came to mind. Ouzo and Kaopectate probably would work, too. Get sht-faced when you have the shts.
There’s a gumball machine where I work that has pink gumballs that taste exactly like pepto-bismol. Most of my co-workers hate them, but I absolutely love them. I feel disappointed when I get some other flavor out of the machine.
I don’t LOVE the taste of Pepto, but I certainly don’t mind it. I have to agree about Necco tasting like Pepto. Same thing with Valentine Conversation Hearts. Of course, I love those things… but they have to be “fresh” (not so "dry) and only Brachs are the good ones…
