Does anyone else have this problem with their web based e-mail accounts?

Alright, I got a yahoo e-mail account so that I could check and send e-mails on a trip that I’m going on, but for some reason every time I check my mail on it, all of the mail that I’ve deleted or already checked shows up every time. For instance, if I get an e-mail from Bob on tuesday and don’t delete it, then when I check my e-mail on Wednesday, there are two e-mails from Bob. If I delete them, they show back up anyway. Does anyone else have this problem? They only give you so much space, so I’m quickly running out of space because of my duplicate e-mails!

Not a great debate. Off to IMHO.

Do you check it and then hit “delete” BEFORE you leave the screen? Just checking it isn’t going to do anything. Maybe you’re missing a step?

Otherwise, I don’t know. I’ve never had that problme with Yahoo.

Nope. That’s screwy. Go to ‘Help’ at the top of your mail page. Yahoo owes you an explanation.

Yeah… I have a Yahoo account and I usually read, then delete a bunch ever few days… I’ve never seen anything get doubled up. Are you reading it through your browser, or using Outlook or something and POP3?

I wouldn’t bother with the Yahoo account at all. Whenever I’m away from home I use mail2web to check my POP3 addresses. Unless you delete them, your messages stay on the server after you’ve read them, so you can download them using Outlook or whatever once you get back. All you need is your login password.

Are you using Yahoo to read Yahoo mail, or your email from another POP3 account? If POP3, then you need to configure Yahoo so that it deletes the mail on the server after it retrieves it.
