Does anyone else's hair look completely different wet than dry?

Oh, yes, the tangles. Leave it down, it’s bad enough. Put it up in a ponytail, and the tangles right around the hairband/clip/what-have-you are awful.

I was just fighting with that last night, after I took my hair down.

Same here, except that it’s already so brown that it’s often nearly indistinguishable from black, and it just gets more so when wet.

African or European rain water?

No, they’re fun all-right. And it sounds like you have enough alternates with the same hairstyles to stand in for you.

Well, I’ll see if I can set an example here tonight.

Wet, my hair also looks sexy and wavy and glorious. Alas, the last time I walked outside with wet hair, it froze into tiny icicles and gave me a horrible cold.

Dry, my hair just looks straight and plain and boring. Ah, well.

Wet and unbrushed, my hair looks dark brown and tangled straight.

Wet and brushed, my hair looks dark brown and absolutely stick straight.

Dry, my hair is a mediumish light brown and straight. Not stick straight, but no wave either.

When my hair is wet I can make it look mostly straight which is really interesting and nice looking. I wish I could maintain the wet look all the time. The dry look is all poofy and disobediant because it is in this annoying state between straight and curly. >< It also get darker of course and I can pull off the ‘goth’ look better.

My hair is straight when wet, but it becomes wavy and curly as it dries. I also seem to look better right after a shower. My skin looks clearer and it’s softer and smoother. This effect doesn’t last though.

I think the wet/dry thing is most noticeable on people with curly hair. I’m right there with the others of you who have gorgeous hair when it’s damp; frizzy and unbelievable when it’s dry.

I’ve found that using leave-in conditioner (which you can do with most conditioners anyhow) can help make it stay somewhat managed-looking while avoiding the crispy curls one gets with gel.

How about I just spray you down with a hose every now and then.
(I honestly did not mean that in a dirty way)
