Does anyone know how to load a Swingline 67 Electric stapler???

This is unbelievable. There’s a stapler here at work that no one can figure out how to load. It’s a Swingline 67 Electric stapler. It looks like this:

there are two knobs. The one in front side of it apparently changes the distance the from the edge of the paper that it staples. The knob in back, I can’t figure out. It might have something to do with loading, but it might not. Unlike the front one, it seems spring loaded-- if I turn it and let go, it will snap back to the original position. It can’t be pushed or pulled at any point in its rotation.

There appear to be no other buttons, knobs, removable covers, etc…

Someone PLEASE tell me they know how to load this! I’m going crazy here!

Try grabbing the front of the staple channel and pulling towards you. That is the way we load the one in the office.

this seems very difficult. there’s that “staple depth” bar that the front knob adjusts in the way of me getting a good grip. you’re talking about pulling the front part where it staples paper?

hey, i got it to work! thanks silenus! The staple channel was jammed, which is why the back button, which releases it, didn’t work. thanks to your suggestion of pulling the channel, i dislodged some mutilated staples that were gumming up the machine/

Until you find out how to load your stapler with staples here’s a helpful website:

I just bought a teal Swingline stapler at the college book store for $7 and it came with 5000 staples and a box of 100 paper clips. It’s easy to load. Perhaps you could look into that route.
