Does anyone know if Disney is temporarily closing/modifying some alligator-themed rides?

I’ve been to Disney a bunch of times, and I can think of several rides that have some alligator element to them. Jungle Cruise has some animatronic alligators. Splash Mountain has a bunch, one that has Brer Fox by the tail. Then there’s Peter Pan’s Flight (and, yes, I know it’s a crocodile).

I’m just wondering how they handle this. It seems to me that all of these rides would bring up negative connotations right now, and Disney wouldn’t want that. On the other hand, maybe changing them would only serve in calling more attention to it.

They’re not closed - my Disney app shows all of them open with about 1 hr wait times.

The Jungle Cruise skippers had a joke something along the lines of “Mind your kids, or the crocodiles will mind them for you,” which I’ve heard they’ve been instructed not to say.

Now I want to see the boat come around the corner and there’s an animatronic alligator with an animatronic kid in its mouth.

The ultimate knee-jerk.

Disney has instituted a temporary dress code - certain T-shirts are banned.

Can you imagine what a PITA it would have been if some poor bastard had caught the Hantavirus?

Is this a big jump above the usual wait times? If so, they could double the price.

Some state parks charge admission to get in. Some parks have signs warning of mountain lions out on the hiking trails. I always wanted to ask a ranger: If I get eaten by a mountain lion, do I get my money back?

(The correct answer: If you get eaten by a mountain lion, we charge you double.)

And don’t even try to get in while wearing Crocs.

Not sure about the wait times on a weekday, but typical 2 pm wait times for the above rides on a weekend is at least an hour.

Lacoste shirts either.

So if a guest comes in wearing that shirt, what, they have to go change? Get steered toward a souvenir shop?

Ironically, Lacoste opened their Disney Springs (ex-Downtown Disney) store this week.

Do they sell blankets…?
