I really like the piece, but “east of the sun” returns a whole lot o’ google hits that don’t seem to have anything to do with it. I’d like to see the artist’s other work if I can figure out who s/he is.
You might send an email to the website and ask if they can identify it?
All my extremely untrained eye can see is that some things look kinda Russian about it.

Actually, looking at his other stuff I’ve seen some of it before, but it was earlier and in a less elaborate style, so I didn’t recognize it.
I thought Nielsen or Arthur Rackham. You can see lots of their work here and other like minded artists. I couldn’t find that image though.
I’d guessed Nielsson before I saw it! In tune with the zeitgeist or what? But I do have a book with that picture.
