Does anyone know what this 'wig' made of shells is called?

Wish I had a link with a picture…I once bought my sister this interesting vintage headpiece, sort of like a beret made of shells , but it was longer so it had a part with bangs and the rest was sort of bob length. It was made of various types of shell and had a nice pattern. It had kind of an Egyptian or 20’s flapper look. I’m not sure how ‘vintage’ or old it was, though I did buy it at a vintage store.

Can anyone tell me what the object is called? I tried googling it, but had no luck, it’s hard when you don’t know what the thing is called- I tried “shell wig” and “shell hairpiece”.
Just wondering, nothing pressing the least. Would love to know, though.

Thanks!

Sounds like a variation on a beaded headdress. Google for images using just those two words–“Beaded Headdress”–and tell us if that’s what you’re thinking of.

Most stuff that can be made with beads has also been made with shells at one point or another.

Wow, that’s it! Thanks!!! I was trying to explain what this object was to someone and couldn’t find a Google image until this moment.
