Does anyone still get those macro viruses that turn docs into templates?

Back in the mid- to late-90s, there used to be several macro viruses that would mutate all your MS Word document files into template files, and along the way also do other unpleasant but not exactlly mission-critical things, like disable certain preferences or tools, or add rude phrases to your files, or make some of your files inaccessible.

Are any of those still running around in the wild?

I ask because of a situation I described on IMHO over here.

Yep! They run rampant at my university, where students often turn in papers on infected floppies. All the school machines are protected, but there are enough unprotected/outdated student and faculty machines for the viruses to persist.
