well, for me there’s 2 types of delivery drivers: there are drivers like DD who only do pickup and delivery, whom I tip accordingly, and then there are shopper/delivery drivers whom I tip more for more effort
The only delivery service I use is the pharmacy in the next town over. For $2 extra per prescription, they deliver my prescriptions to my office.
For food deliveries, I really wouldn’t want to take the chance that the delivery driver eats my food and/or spits in it.
The restaurant either staples or tapes the bag closed.
I remember news during Covid that Dashers were nibbling and snacking on the food they deliver. The house on Elm street won’t miss seven french fries. From a medium fry order. 
McDonald’s frustrates me with their very large delivery bags. For example, a egg McMuffin meal with Large coffee gets bagged as usual and then placed in the large delivery bag. The breakfasts that I’ve ordered are stapled shut.
I like the cardboard cup-holder that fits tightly in the bottom of the delivery bag. Preventing spills.
