That was discussed LONG ago, and the consensus was he DOES belong. (I happen to agree)
Like any other candidate, the key question in: Who’s the best player NOT in? That person, logically, should be the next one enshrined.
Bert Blyleven isn’t the best player not in, IMHO. He’s better than some guys who are, but he would not be the next person I would give a plaque to. Hand a few plaques out and he might be, though - he’s in the Top 5. He was as good a pitcher as Nolan Ryan.
Let’s agree that Blylevens hould be gatekeeper. If the next candidate pitcher is better than him, he goes in.
